Since the release of edge of fate I have been experincing micro stuttering/hitching in game. I have tried lots of solutions and the only ones that seem to have an impact are downgrading my Nvidia gpu driver to 566.03. However this does not completely solve the issue but makes it slightly more tolerable. The stuttering seems more frequent and pronounced in game modes with lots of players. For example 6v6 crucible or alters of sorrow halloween event. I have done a copletely fresh install of Windows 11 Pro on a completely new Sata SSD and installed all drivers(nvidia gpu driver 566.03), windows updates etc. Then installed Destiny 2 and the game ran better than my system with the most recent nvidia driver. However the stuttering was still present, especially in pvp. Before edge of fate I had rarely any stutter and the game ran well even on the more recent nvidia drivers. What has changed on my system since edge of fate release is the windows updates and nvidia drivers. However I cant rollback either just to get destiny 2 stable becuase it makes newer games unstable or unplayable. I would love to play the game and I think the Halloween event is awesome but I get a headache playing with these stutters and cant take it anymore.
I love destiny 2 but I cant play it while this issue persists.
Thank you

7 RepliesHi there, Thank you for your detailed report. We understand you've been experiencing consistent stuttering in Destiny 2. We're sorry to hear of this, as we can imagine the impact this may have had. While we realize you have tried a fair amount of troubleshooting, have you tried clearing the Steam download cache? This can sometimes help to improve the performance of games running through Steam. We also understand, from what you've written, that the stuttering worsens in activities involving many players. This may indicate a connectivity issue. You may wish to see whether Optimizing Connections helps to alleviate some of this stuttering you describe.
