Conquest Avalon is just plain RIDICULOUS
Can you please do something about the difficulty,it doesn't need to be THAT punishing,and with the low player count I've been trying for a month to get it done,but it's just impossible

Same here. Most players just aren't good enough with there survivability. Sick to death of attempting this. Strongholds. Flash counter. U don't die

Don't do then. Not mandatory and you can play kids mode so it's not locked behind completing.

Even the pinnacle one feels like a conquest now.... Being 550 sucks.

5 RepliesI haven’t done the Ultimate Conquest Avalon yet, but I’ve done Avalon in Ultimate and for most phase which are ads dense I found Strand Titan with Wolfsbane is just insane. I have it equipped at the moment if ever you’re curious. Once you start pooping orbs everywhere it just keeps on giving. And I agree modifiers in conquest are a pain.

I can't do the grandmaster conquest. I've played destiny a lot, I'm just not a super skilled player. These deltas are a bit beyond my ability. Shame, but never mind.

2 RepliesUltimate Conquest, with the modifiers, might be the worst thing Bungie has created. There’s probably a way to cheese it because I’m seeing more 11 rank guardians, but I simply don’t have any interest. I miss running the old GMs tbh.

Avalon was awful when it came out, worse at higher level, and hasn't gotten much easier since. That mission takes so much out of you. The wyverns shooting in the hole are awful cause of the splash damage. Only comfort would have been if they made checkpoints for each 1/3 of the final boss's health. Too sweaty at the end of that.

Its difficult, but its not due to the power delta. For content that should be Ultimate, the delta is fine. My personal issue with it is avant-garde modifier, as it significantly limits build crafting. If there wasn't a restriction on exotics it would be much easier to pull off. I do agree that the low player count also impacts it...and of those that are still playing, few grind to the power level required for the activity.

Edited by Hawpy: 10/30/2025 5:01:34 PMI see that you've completed it, by way of having the emblem, but for anyone else looking at this in hopes of advice - melee builds and damage resistance stacking are your best friends. For whatever reason, enemies in Avalon can still drop the boons from Season of Defiance. Ability kills can make a pool that gives you full melee energy, so you can loop pretty easily. I also highly recommend bringing a Sword and using Iron Lord's Vigor from the artefact; this is solely for the first boss, as there's not a huge amount you can do to protect yourself if Wyverns peek over the edge of the safe zone. Glacier Grenades also work well for this by blocking LoS but only really usable on Prismatic Titan. For armour set bonuses, the general consensus is to go with 2 pieces each of AION Adapter and Smoke Jumper, for easily-accessible damage reduction.

It isn't too bad with Meta healing/shield type build. I get annoyed with the desyncing of certain parts of the areas in between fights or sometimes in battles. One of the levers bumping you off when I t just moved in or when it isn't there, or a Wyvern killing you in the pit, through an ice grenade on the wall and a sword guarding. I've yet to compete it, but it seems something always happens to me or someone I'm running with.
