I fully understand how sensitive of a subject this can be. And depending on your personal viewpoint your stance varies quite heavily.
I typically stay very muted on such topics, and I can understand both sides. But recently after visiting San Francisco the other day I think at some point a fair discussion should be had but if I'm being honest, after one day driving in SF I feel very strongly on this matter, so let me just say...
Those bicyclist mother-blam- deserve to be hit. Seriously those people want all the benefits but none of the work!!! Take up half the road then you don't even follow the rules of the road.
You go full speed through a red light with zero hesitation and then get mad when you almost cause an accident because being on a bike makes you so damn superior! Screw you bicyclists! You all suck!
Blowing through red lights and stop signs, oh but you're in car so the insurance automatically says you're in the wrong even though I'm not following the law that requires bicyclists to obey the rules of the road.
Dear bicyclists, I don't think... You are good people.
Not sure what it's like elsewhere, but here we have small bike lanes on the sides of the road, and every cyclist I've seen always either sticks to them or stays on the sidewalk, and then they stop at lights and whatnot. Funny story, so I'm a pedestrian by choice. Had a car, hated that car. It got wrecked*, I was happy to have it gone. Anyway, since I'm a pedestrian, I walk to work, and at my old job, this was a 40 minute walk. The big regional manager over my area offered to give me a bike for free, and I kinda, like, accidentally turned it down, because it went right over my head he was offering to give me one. Which is fine, because I don't think I would've used it much anyway, but still, I find it funny.
*If you're curious how, I was going the speed limit on a straight road and some guy turned in without warning. We crashed. It was actually a pretty light crash, but the front of my car was already a little banged up, and it was totaled. I could have gotten some money out of the other guy if I wanted to, but I didn't actually push for anything. Frankly as far as I'm concerned he did me a favor because now nobody was trying to force me to drive the dumb thing. I named my car Dawn after Dawn from Pokémon, because I really hate Dawn from Pokémon. It's a running joke how much I hate her for no real reason, but I really, really do.
