You ever have one of those relationships where you pour in years of loyalty and finances, and while the good times are good, you can’t help but notice how you’re always giving, but not receiving what you know you deserve out of the relationship. Sentimentality and nostalgia keep you convinced that if you dutifully continue to support, then one day surely, eventually.. they will reciprocate all that you’ve done for them and give it back 100 times over…. It’s a heartbreaking feeling to finally realize that you care so much more and are willing to give so much more and you actually understand that they will never come close to being able to give you what you deserve. At that point, you have to choose you and to respect yourself. I have finally gotten to the point after a decade of loyalty to Bungie where I choose ME. I deserve better quality for my money. I deserve a better narrative and a better game for sticking with this company through thick and thin. And so do the rest of you. I refuse to accept mediocre crash grabs from Destiny anymore. In my heart, I know there is a good game when it comes down to the bones of destiny, but the powers that be do not have the drive or ability to put the meat we need on those very bare bones. RIP.

26 RepliesI tried explaining that to someone before on this forum. Literally compared it to a toxic relationship. I'm glad you're choosing you over being sycophantically sympathetic to a billion dollar company.

2 RepliesThat's okay; we've agreed to see other people. Figures that the other I have been seeing has a terminal condition with only three months to live. That's okay though ... enjoy the time you have rather then mourn the time you don't.

You just earned some bonus Halloween points.
