Why doesn't she just go to the one where the golden age didn't collapse and leave us alone?
-
Because the narrative director has a degree in theater not writing.
-
Because it won't be one for her without Chioma, whom she unknowingly murdered.
-
Maybe she could go back in the timeline and destroy the portal.
-
I mean it could be possible that this is the only timeline where the witness got defeated. Or it could be her safest bet for a timeline because the others already seem to be in doom, isn't that why the exo stranger came back to our timeline.
-
idk about any of that :) but I'll say that, she was boring from the start

Edited by Eatz: 10/8/2025 9:43:52 PMRemind me again why people don’t like the conductor? To me she’s a more competent and interesting version of Eramis. Not gaming changing, but not exactly bad.
-
That’s going to be the plot of Destiny 3 where we reach an agreement with Maya Sundaresh to transport the Guardian back into the Golden Age before the Collapse, aka Project Payback.
-
The conductor doesnt have the ability to go to a specific point in reality. She only has simulations to view
-
I’d like a timeline just before D2. When the Hive hasn’t been ret conned. The Fallen (ate humans) Cabal (killed humans) Vex (experimented on humans) were enemies. When some ridiculous creature called the Witness wasn’t the Thanos character. Destiny Classic if u will. Before the story became an allegory, and we just shot and killed space creatures that wanted us dead.
-
I would prefer she left us alone. She really isn't a great protagonist or super villain. Hoping her story arc ends sooner rather than later. Given the way the player numbers are falling though, she may very well outlast the game itself. Maybe she could pop off back to another simulation and bring us a better version of the game back?

Why doesn't the Avengers go back in time to get 2013 Tony Stark and 2013 Black Widow , and get the band back together to stop 2013 Thanos -
To be honest there probably is... Especially if she has achieved [harmony||quantum]... She is vex, the thing that she feels interrupted her timeline... There is a version (current) that doesn't understand the full potential of her experience... The chaos that is able to play god and creator of universes... To move and place objects for story beats... The desire for a small want, like a copy of a consciousness that exists perfectly within a perfected timeline that will always exist and must be... How could you not take comfort in knowing your favored being helped create the most perfect thing... Through a language of pure meaning...(Math||programming languages)

They are just using this character to stretch out the storyline. She is just a damaged psycho robot but being treated as witness level threat
-
Or she could take us back to the start of D1 and we have to do everything all over again.
-
She can go to simulated timelines. She wants a real one. Various things can be pulled out of the vex simulations like our new axe. But she can’t pull the entire universe out.

Content is hard
-
Because she can't.
