It was doing better than most of the swords and probably is one of if not the top sword + it gives pre-nerf lament healing (Even more if you put on attrition since the tornado spawns like 8 orbs each time it was enough to give my teammate a super almost instantly). But swords rn outside of the now returned stronghold feel kinda eh. I'd probably only use it in like a raid against Crota. Against like every other boss I'd go shotgun if it's a close range encounter. Also it's one of like 2 weapons that receives bonus reserves from the ammo generation mods. With both of the blade options set to damage instead of ammo you can go from 64 to 68 to 70 with solar ammo generation mods equipped. And last thing it has synergy with outbreak. Getting a flat I think 20% boost and every swing generates quicksilver instead of every 3rd swing. Edit: Actually one more thing I used it in ultimate matchmaking. Against the boss it was doing work and the healing + orbs kept me alive and then for ad clearing it also did good. And with 2 heavy finders and at least 1 solar generation mod you can basically infinitely use it as long as you aren't missing attacks.

it's an axe instead of a sword, so I'd say it's neat-o I like it ngl, I'd trade any of the exotic swords for that dumb axe plus, I can finally go ape shii with an axe, which is a welcome buff no, I'm not being paid to say that....I wish I was tho, I'd gladly do it.

If you see my current Loadout, this is the only use i have for Wolfsbane. With 2x Concussive Dampeners, Emergency Reinforcement, 2 set bonus of Smoke Jumper, Sever, Frost Armor x5, amd Healing Turret, i can survive a beating from the ground pounds from a Unstoppable Champion 50+ levels under and with Blasts on (tested by myself in the Firing Range). That’s before mentioning Transcendence and Overload Sword making me survive even longer. Only way i can get Frost Armor x5 is from Attrition Orbs from Wolfsbane Catalyst. So all of that together let me be a lot more aggressive as a Warlock than i normally can. But it also costed my heavy damage because Wolfsbane don’t do much damage.
