Bungie Bungie Bungie.
This day has been marked by many. The warnings was given, but still you decided to chase the same old narative and here we are, streamers and top 1% got what they wanted. A game that is a chore and not enjoyable.
Me personally is extremely proud of the casual comunity for finally decided to talk with actions. I have seen a few ups and downs in the 13500hrs i have put into the game since D1 dropped.
Now that the casuals have stopped playing/paying and watching the streamers and top1% are leaving. If this action does not highlight to you that it is time to listen to the real comunity, then you are destined to fail in the near future. Listen to the part of the comunity that is actually playing the game to enjoy it. The more enjoyable the game is to the comunity the more they will spend on the franchise.
It is just hilarious to read and see the content creators going of at the comunity for being toxic. The comunity is toxic because of what happened to their hobbie because of eletism. A tier5 farm means nothing for the casual player due to the grind imposed on them because of "we want harder content".
Remember one thing, my delux edition, your delux edition and the poor casual delux edition cost the same price and consist of the same content. It is the same as buying an exotic sports car, but because you can only drive on weekends you are not allowed to use the freeway. This is only for daily drivers. Biggest load of horse s#*t you can think of.
I have stopped raiding as all my friends stopped playing, i would have stopped as well but as long as my wife needs help with an activity i will jump in and help. Dont get me wrong, DESTINY has the making to be the best game of all times, unfortunately the wrong influence was followed and the comunity that used the game as a stress relief and disconnect from real world issues have been pushed aside for the "few". The "few" is leaving now and blaming the comunity they used for views.
The comunity is not toxic, they are just all standing together and speaking as one about their hobby. All they want to do is to enjoy what they pay for.

Edited by Dooodley: 9/30/2025 8:08:32 PMThey are not catering to the streamers - which should be evident by how they're not happy either and quitting the game. No one wanted this tedious grind, which is all we got at the moment. The issue is that Bungie is composed of people who dont represent the typical gamer and they have no idea what we want. The old Bungie was just like us, nerdy gamer dudes, and they knew. I'm willing to bet that very few of the people currently in charge had game nights in their youth or even played much at all. In addition to that they're seemingly restricting everything so that people wont get their feelings hurt. We cant do this because then someone might be left behind, we cant interact because then someone might say something mean etc etc. I've for instance never played a successful PvP game where people couldnt communicate through voice. And while it is an option in D2 now it wasnt at launch, establishing a culture where no one uses it. I've literally never heard a random speak in a match. Hell, I can count on one hand the times someone has communicated in text in the Tower. Get rid of the snowflake culture and we might actually get a social game that people want to play - because as of now it's just a solo player game you're forced to go online to play.
