I apologize to all of the teammates stuck with me yesterday. I suck at Crucible, I find it almost painful, and do not run it unless absolutely necessary to progress. I'm sorry you lost so many missions if it was because of me.
If Bungie would stop making it a requirement to progress, I'd never set foot in Crucible again.
Once again, I'm sorry, but thank you for carrying me through.

Play as you wish.If you were good, they’d just accuse you of cheating. I’ll jump into Trials for seasonal event progression and happily contribute my .40 KD lol.
-
I always feel bad when I run into players who obviously don't regularly play crucible. It's apparent because I suddenly feel like a god playing. (I'm not at all) I wouldn't apologize. We're all just trying to have fun in the game any way we can. If anyone got mad at you then shame on them. Thanks for helping the pvp population albeit unwillingly.

Edited by ODSTrooper: 9/29/2025 7:05:23 PMThe biggest things you or anyone similar can do to set yourself apart is to first have a pvp loadout. So don't simply just use the same stuff you would elsewhere (I keep coming across a bunch of Starfire Protocol warlocks with fusion grenades, for example, and Mint Retrogrades for special). So skip that gun and use likely a shotgun or fusion rifle or a spread shot hand cannon and exotic armor that is actually of use in the gamemode (think Ophidian Aspect or Transversive Steps for warlock, Stompees or Knucklehead Radar for hunter, maybe One-Eyed Mask, ACD Feedback Fence, Peacekeepers, or Peregrine Greaves for titan to name the main ones to consider). But more importantly, don't still have heavy ammo finders, resist mods, or scavengers on your armor. Instead, make use of helmet targeting mods for your respective weapon elements, and the same goes for loader/dexterity mods on gauntlets, unflinching on chestpiece, and a holster + maybe a surge mod on boots or that new one which boosts sprint speed and jump height slightly. Class item matters less but I just make sure to have a reaper mod for at least one way besides my super way to make orbs for some slight healing and a slight damage boost if using the above mentioned surge mod. Also, pay attention to avoiding anything that uses the wording 'combatant,' including under your subclass fragments or artifact perks because these don't affect guardians and only instead work on PvE foes. Things will have to say 'target' if you want them to apply in Crucible. Anyway, I hope this helps! But I concede that Bungie could do things better with their seasonal challenges for example for those like you who don't want to play the mode.

OP: Nice, but not necessary! 👈 Your enduring presence helped raise the population there…don’t fret…you did good just showing up and playing for a bit! Chin up, Guardian! 👻 Ease Springs! 🖖

I'm not a PvP player and have only played heavy metal and iron banner quite a bit. Most games we won had 1 thing in common - teammates stuck together. That often tilts the balance against higher skilled players if you can pick them 1-2 at a time. This would be the #1 suggestion I would give to any PvP newbie. Super easy to do as well.

Way better than the AFK farmers in Trials. Dont apologize for PLAYING any game-mode.
-
I think you see overwhelming support from the real guardians here. It is a lot better to carry someone through than to have them be afk just to farm. Those morons should be banned. Nice to see that you care but an apology for trying is really not necessary

One thing you have to remember about pvp! KD higher than mine = filthy tryhard KD lower than mine = filthy scrub The rest is just dressing 🤷♂️
-
I hate you! LOL JK Its all bungies fault.
-
Just a huge tip for you, your team would rather you be dog -blam!- but stick with them than be okay at crucible but be on the other side of the map.
-
It’s 6s it doesn’t matter. It’s trials if people wanna win they’ll team up. If it’s comp you’ll be at the lower ranks so it doesn’t matter much. You’re good
-
I’m not a fan of pvp for myself it’s for the a chance of a great reward asin armour or weapon but like you I try that all you we can do 👍 if ever you wanna run with me feel free 🤔

Competitive is one thing. Losing in non competitive isn't that big of an issue. Dont be so hard on yourself.

Edited by Šħåķå: 9/30/2025 3:39:53 AMI feel sorry that you apologized, espacially for pvp. My bro if you know you tried, did your best or whatever you could do, it is really good, good enough so do not apologize. Some players play their lives for games as if it will bring money or social status in real life. Do not care about these games slaves if they dare say a -blam!- about you. And pvp is not a good environement anyway I don't put my feet there anymore, way too many cheaters especially in trials so do not hurt yourself for this anymore my bro. You are a champion for trying, playing something you don't like without being afk. So GG to you ! best regards bro !!!!

The chances of them reading the forums is near zero.
-
You have nothing to be sorry for!! This is just a game!
-
I wouldn’t worry about it buddy, it’s just a game and crucible can be hit and miss anyway
-
Nah, don’t blame yourself this game has atrocious matchmaking.
-
If you see me on, feel free to join for pvp. Half the matches are a guaranteed loss anyway as it has more to do with Bungie's servers blessing you with a favorable connection than any skill.
-
Don't apologize. You have just as much right to play crucible as anyone else. No matter how good you are you will still have laggy matches where you can't get the kills and some whiner with no impulse control will start going off on you. Just go into the roster and block them. Voila! they will never bother you again.
-
You should get a medal just to dare playing PvP, no apology needed.
-
I know the feeling. I’m not bad at PvP, but sometimes I’m that guy getting smoked (since I’m a PvE player). I only play PvP on really rare occasions for the loot. Trials can be fun at times but everything else I hate.

Me too friend me too.
