The game is too difficult. It is important to be satisfied with the character that becomes stronger as the fighting power increases. However, the more the fighting power increases, the weaker the character becomes, and the stress index is proportional. Do you guys want to ruin the game on purpose? Do you want users to play under stress? This expansion is the worst of the worst. I'm so disappointed.

Edited by ZeroFactionZeta: 9/29/2025 1:45:35 AMYes enemies are bullet sponges, ttk is off the charts, abilities are more effective than the weapons especially when they can be spammed. Playing aggressively charging into enemies is useless one touch and you are slowed, can’t use your abilities. You are always underpowered regardless of the power you acquire.
-
It’s not difficult, it’s tedious and boring.
-
So true... At high power score, our ults barely scratches the bosses, regular ammo guns may as well be nerf guns and melee skills have to be avoided because they do no damage and get you closer to enemies who can all kill you and freeze you with any attack at all. Who the hell wants to play a game for the purpose of getting weaker?!?
-
yk how grocery stores got all the slow people bagging ur groceries? thats who u got makin this game none of them can even be bothered to play test it.
-
yeah its going to be bungies end. its not players cant do it, its the power delta makes the game feel like it was just a super lazy way for bungie to go. just crank up the game, and give no content .
-
WOW! I never put 2 and 2 together, but this is EXACTLY accurate. The whole point of the power grind in the past was to slowly make the game easier, thus fulfilling the power fantasy. Ex. OMG this raid was so hard to get thru the first few runs and now that we have leveled up we are one phasing the boss, this is great! Now we can have fun grinding the weapon rolls we want. D2 right now is the opposite. OK, I've grinded up to level 450, but now if I want to keep leveling up I need to make the content more and more difficult to continue getting drops. They have literally lost their identity as a power fantasy looter shooter. The most fun you can have on this game has ALWAYS been nuking enemies. And yes, to make that more satisfying, you need a (SMALL) period of struggling to make the nuking feel better. But if nuking never comes, the struggle isn't worth it.
-
This progression is far more time consuming. I'm blaming the tiers and enhanced perks. If the enhanced perks were removed, the tier system would lose its purpose. Some of them still don't do anything and usually only do a stat point or 0.5sec longer buff/activation time.
-
It’s not TOO difficult… the difficulty is just implemented in such a way as to be unsatisfying to play. Power progression doesn’t feel like progress… it’s actually inverted. You feel weaker as you level because the requirements to meet a score threshold to feel rewarded remove all the perks of leveling. You never really feel stronger. I feel like with several of the changes they tried with edge of fate, this one was the most of a miss.

Edited by Born_SLIPPY: 9/30/2025 1:04:05 AMLogged in after barely playing. I've had flu and couldn't sleep. Ran an ultimate solo ops, logged out at boss fight. Not particularly hard just incredibly boring plinking away at a boss. Got one shot by a vandal. Rapidly realised why I'd stopped playing. Next up they intend to make it worse with set power deltas. Missing the point of what the game is now. You appear to just level up to make the game harder and more boring and your gear will get reset? No new activities, all the money and time was spent for a shitty raid race for content creators. I guess that makes the streamers and basement chuds hard but Steam charts suggest that's all that's left playing now. Over 6,000 hours in this game, loved it once but now its just dogshit. Whoever the game lead is should hand their notice in because they killed the game, the talentless -blam!-. Stop catering to elite fireteams, streamers and chuds. Make content for every player. Make raids and dungeons accessible to all, so they can be matchmade. Give us back a power fantasy. Anyway, back to Borderlands 4 where you can have fun. That's why we play after all.
-
Yes. Because they’ve turned the game from a power-fantasy game to a test of skill game. …and sapped most of the fun out of it. Why? Because that’s the game that the devs wanted to make. Without considering if it was the game we wanted to play.
-
Not difficult. Tedious. Absolutely nothing in this game is hard, it's all just repetitive, boring, busywork.
-
Difficult? Nah. Just it’s just very tedious
-
I think it's not "really" difficult but tedious. Playing always on the safe side in order to survive. In PvE. In the beginning it even is/was fun but over time it becomes a chore. Funny enough my favourite activity has become Crucible for levelling cause I get a guaranteed B or better reward often A sometimes even A+. Even when losing. PvE I must accept the hardest modifiers and can be happy reaching B. And when it doesn't run well you go to Orbit with nothing but 15 to 20 minutes spent time. Considering Bungie forces players into leveling AND threatening with regular PL resets translating into constant PL grind the minimum was an +1 engram regardless of outcome. Of course they won't do that let alone skip that PL reset entirely. They rather are bothering their clients and willing to suffer from the inevitable final outcome. Whatever. Take care.

I agree. I just got to power level 453 and the new season activity just became 100% more difficult and my weapons cause minimal damage. I thought the higher the power level the more damage you cause. This company, Bungie, is really backwards. The activities are insanely difficult now because of my higher power level. I play for FUN not to be miserable for crappy tier 4 rewards. I am not playing anymore. The game is boring and repetitive right now, and now I have play miserable and insanely difficulty activities. No thank you, I am out!!
-
Too difficult to understand and play yes. It used to be that a good build would carry you through most content. But now with the modifiers and the boons it’s a constant fest of buff and debuff, more than the UI can count. On top of that Bungie is constantly changing their sandbox, buffing but mostly nerfing stuff. So it’s a very complicated mess to make sense off. If they had more people to play and test their game it may be better, but they don’t.
-
All level based, play and challenge yourself at your own pace. It's actually a very easy game just ask my 7year old nephew
-
Edited by Old-Sarge: 9/29/2025 8:37:58 PMI felt like this l earlier . Why am I getting weaker and can’t hold my ground? Apparently, at my Power of 500, if I load into a mission at 10/200/300 I’d be strong but get no rewards …. Why I’m fine not playing until reset back to zero, 200, whatever Bungo picks
-
If it were difficult due to mechanics or needed better tactics to counter it was ok. Difficulty per Bungie means make everything bullet sponges and then add meaningless modifiers like no HUD, volatile tradeoff, etc. Difficulty may not be the right work, tedious or busy work may be more fitting.
-
I suppose you are talking about activities with fixed deltas and modifiers? Because everything else can be tailored to not being massively difficult and still rewarding, as others have stated.
-
Difficulty options are available.
-
What exactly is too hard? A lot of what is being complained about is due to people not understanding how to actually customize modifiers properly.
-
Out of all the things wrong with the game, this should never be a complaint.
-
You can also scale down you know? Lot more fun than way than punching above your weight class. Do it while you can still have fun unless bungie walks back that enforced delta. My kids are around 190-210 and do level 100 activties and blow through them... this incoming power cap is going to ruin that for them like the previous-5 on strike playlist.
-
The game is incredibly easy. Just don’t play things on a ridiculous power delta
