I’m above 450 power and split most of my time between Fireteam Ops and Crucible, mainly because both have matchmaking.
Crucible is rewarding - I can stay in the playlist, perform well, and consistently earn Tier 5 drops.
Fireteam Ops is far more restrictive. The highest difficulty match made playlist is Master, which caps drops at 400 power. On top of that, the daily rotation of three GM-level activities feels very limiting. Even when I hit A or A+ scores, I’m locked into just three options per day which gets boring fast.
Matchmaking should be available across all Fireteam Ops activities, not just the daily rotation. This would ensure that when bonus drops are active, players can actually pursue them. Right now, if friends aren’t online or you don’t want to slog through LFG, those rewards are effectively locked out.
This ties directly into feedback around loot generosity. Bungie says Destiny should feel rewarding every time we log in, but that promise falls flat when playlists are capped below relevant power and gated by outdated matchmaking rules.
Stop gating Fireteam Ops. Open matchmaking across the board so players can fully engage with the rewards you’ve put in the game.
