Unable to log in to Destiny 2 — TAPIR error (Russia)
Hello,
Since September 16, 2025, I have been unable to log in to Destiny 2 on my Bungie account (Krovozhadny) while playing on PlayStation 5.
Every time I try to connect I get the TAPIR error.
What I have tried so far:
- Used VPNs (including Turkey and several EU locations).
- Changed DNS settings (Google, Cloudflare).
- Tested another account with a Turkey region — that account connects successfully.
Could you please clarify:
- Are there currently any regional restrictions for players from Russia?
- Is it possible that my Bungie account has been blocked or requires additional verification?

1 ReplyWorks only through a VPN. If on PC, after enabling the VPN, you need to log out and log back into Steam/Epic. If that doesn't help, change the server in Steam: Settings - Downloads - Download Region... Bungie don't help, they don't care... Complaints about TAPIR come not only from Russia and Belarus, but the developers simply ignore them. The issue arose after the online maintenance on Monday night and before the offline maintenance on Tuesday. So far, it most closely resembles a GeoIP block from Bungie's side.
