What in the world has happened to Trials today? I think I've been royally screwed in just about every way in there. I'm struggling to even clear a flawed card. Everything bad has happened in there. From lagging opponents that are so laggy that they can shoot through walls repeatedly, AFK teammates almost always only on my team, quitters almost always only on my team, me top fragging on my teams a lot of the time and still dealing with hopeless losses, teammates who will sit back and let the enemy team revive themselves fully, a long range map where SPREAD SHOT HANDCANNONS are STILL dominating, cheaters on the enemy team that were called out by teammates at the beginning of matches (nice anti-cheat and it happened 2 MATCHES IN A ROW WITH DIFFERENT OPPONENTS), team balancing (LMAO)... Why. I've learned some things today. If you've been to the Lighthouse in some form, you start getting the old Trials mercy mechanic on your first loss of your streaks. Doesn't say it anywhere, but it's a thing (poor communication of a mechanic). Currently as of this patch, you cannot reset your passage if you lose your mercy, though it was possible before Ash & Iron (spaghetti code). If you lose a match with a 0.0 combat efficiency in Trials, it will not count as a loss on your card and your active win streak will be preserved (learned from garbage team balancing). A 5-win streak was as good as I got at the start of the week. I can barely win a single match now because of how bad it is. As of this post, I'm trying to wrap up a cleared passage with a 4-win streak just to get it over with. I was going to make this post after I wrapped up with it, but it is not going well.
