I dont know if this is old or new, but I read somewhere that the new dude that's taking over said something along the lines that armors in the open world are looking more exciting than everpurse. And they can't allow that to happen. I think it was an article from Paul tassi. Basically, they purposely make everpurse armors way better than the ones we can obtain. And they can't allow that to happen. They HAVE to make the store have way better stuff to make us want to spend money. If this is their mentality then yea, d2 died when EoF went live.
