I think bungie killed destiny 2
Like it feels like they want to kill destiny for some reason . Like the grind trash . The fun deader then holiday . Making iron banner armour then moving it to eververse. Like its never been this bad

No they haven't killed it they took it out back shoved it in a cage to let it die a slow and painful death. They are just sitting in their offices laughing as the game dies, they tell us they are listening but do nothing. See some of the feedback on Destiny Rising, giving us the things we want but Bungie just sit there and tell us they are listening but do nothing to save their dying game.

Probably brunt out creating the same slop year after year. Plus Marathon looked pretty bad. Maybe the devs should switch to saying "would you like fries with that?" Seeing service industry is a great fall back career once you've brunt yourself out on art

I think they knew it was dying before final shape. That was their final piece of truly good content. What happened after was designing a model whereby you can maximise player engagement and micro transactions for minimal development resources. They’ll keep that model going now until it doesn’t meet whatever profit margins they’ve got set as targets.

2 RepliesThe consequence of this game being around for so long is the unending editing and coding it must have endured. It must be full of dead end sub-routines and is quite a patchwork like Frankenstein's monster. It has grown so massive and bloated that no one knows what will happen from one change to the next. Instead of designing Destiny 3 they chose to continue to cut and paste ad nauseum. In any case, that's the explanation I've come up with for everything being so buggy..

And they can't allow that to happen. I think it was an article from Paul tassi. Basically, they purposely make everpurse armors way better than the ones we can obtain. And they can't allow that to happen. They HAVE to make the store have way better stuff to make us want to spend money. If this is their mentality then yea, d2 died when EoF went live.

2 RepliesThe insane difficulty spike in the Portal has killed it for me. I’m trying to help my fiend and get some good loot but things are too difficult and the rewards are horrible as well. Pinnacle ops has timers that are way too short, and fireteam ops are way too punishing. The only thing left to play is solo ops, for the 1,298 time. This game has become horrible.

You are correct. I work until late evening and used to get home and jump on D2 for a few hours. Now I just don’t even get on at all. I just go to bed. When I woke up in the morning I would get on for a bit before I went to work. Now I just drink my coffee and read a book on my back porch until time to get ready. D2 doesn’t even cross my mind anymore. I’ll play on my days off for a little and that’s it.

They just decided to bend over the game and players and screw it all. Look at the numbers plummenting like crazy, say they are fixing and changing but they don't. The sooner Sony take over the better, hopefully they will listen and change things for the better.

Especially when we’ve had the release calendar we’ve had recently and into the future when this game itself is a dumpster fire. I was optimistic for change after final shape— and I finished the legendary campaign for EoF on all three characters. But there’s just nothing here. Destiny 2 getting owned by Borderlands 4 is not something I had on my bingo card. But here we are.

2 RepliesYes, but not by a plan. They miscalculated the mix of content and microtransactions. They always did the same: buffs, nerfs, and recycling. Repeatedly. And relied on "Eververse." Which worked for some time, but only during those two years of COVID-19. That was the climax for hardware and video games. But someone at Bungie who has (or had) a lot to say overslept that transition. I think the biggest failure of this company was greed. You have to invest before you earn. Which isn't something Bungie did, judging by all their recycling and low effort. It can be different if one thinks about what Catarina Macedo got going in six months (after Joe Blackburn left). While delaying "The Final Shape." At this time, Bungie still had the opportunity to mobilize money. To hire more developers. Today, Destiny 2's on life support. I'm sure the developers (the workers) still have the best intentions. Best example: armor for Iron Banner, which was primarily developed for the game but rerouted to Eververse. That move, sorry, but that's not vast thinking. And so it goes on...
