I’m tempted to say Save the Cat from season 5 of She-Ra, because it’s great and I love it. But honestly two episodes earlier, Corridors hits like a bag of bricks every time. Getting the full childhood theme for the first time and then finally getting the heel turn that you’ve likely been waiting for for basically the whole show is so cathartic. Then followed up with the desperate apology. I absolutely love it. And I love how it starts a process for the characters that isn’t automatic or one and done. They don’t change fundamentally just because of this one thing, they still have to work for it. And crawling back isn’t a straight line. They still slip up from time to time. RUNNER UP. A delightful runner up with no where near the same emotional weight or depth is the BBC Musketeers. Season one. Toward the end. Cannot remember the context. Just the titular musketeers guarding the king in the face of an enemy who challenges them. When challenged there is a smug look on Athos’s face as he informs that man that if he takes one more step, “It will be my duty—and pleasure—to kill you.” You can guess whether or not the man took that one more step, and whether or not Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and D'artagnan were happy to make good. Love this show’s portrayal.
