Equipment locking as a default for higher level activities completely takes all the fun out of this game and makes me not want to play anymore. Going into an activity with matchmaking on and no ability to change resistance mods or other weapons makes this unplayable for a casual player who has been playing since D1. Its even worse for adults/dads who have limited time to play. I have small blocks of time to go in and knock something out, and I wind up in something sweaty where my armor and weapons aren't working for the environment. I can either be a jerk and back out, or I can stick with it and die a thousand times, pissing off whoever I got matched with. It's not fun. Who wants to do this for a game? The grind has finally beat me after a decade. How is this enjoyable Bungie!?
