Congratulations Bungie, you put the Final Nail in Destiny 2’s coffin today.
I’m not even going to get into all the issues with ANOTHER update/dlc/whatever, that has been covered extensively on here and Reddit.
Suffice to say it appears that you could not find your asses with both your hands.
My god, I was actually feeling positive for the first time in 6 months about the direction of the game and thinking that Renegades might actually be good.
I was listening to the fact that you’re going to stop with the stupid nerfs, reintroduce pinnacles in previous Raids and Dungeons and I thought “well -blam!- me with a prize winning marrow(large courgette/zuchini) Bungie actually listened.”
Then I saw the time frame and started to get angry as we had much of this in the game a few months ago, how hard is it to put back into the game?
Then we come to today’s launch of Trash and Ire, and I realised that you are done, just -blam!--ing done.
It makes no difference, no -blam!--ing difference at all what you say, even if you promise you are listening and then show us how you’re going to improve the game from our very feedback, you still have to implement it correctly and without bugs.
I don’t know what the problem is at Bungie and I no longer care. You’ve promised the same thing multiple time before and lied, this time I think you actually meant what you said in the stream.
But you can’t implement anything without making an absolute mess of it.
Anyone hyped for Marathon, should remind themselves of the utter 💩 state this franchise has been in for quite some time. And how Bungie lies to, and treats this community that has effectively supported their intermittent incompetence for over a decade.
Renegades will not save your jobs, Bungie studio, Destiny 2 or this game’s community. It’ll be an another bunch of half-baked idiocy that is poorly written and poorly implemented, just like EoF and Trash and Iron.
Good god, how many times can you keep snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, before you learn your -blam!-ing lesson? FFS. 🤦♂️

2 RepliesGuessing its all hands on deck trying to salvage Marathon but that looks DOA it was never going to move the needle, wrong genre, its a niche market at best. Doubt they have time to recover D2 even if they throw the whole studio at it today. Bells already chimming midnight, sorry Bungie Cinders ya screwed. Even if BL4 is mediocre? Its all new content and they innovated. Not even a choice at this point I know where my money is going.

So long as people keep on chasing that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow 🌈 without ever realising that they’re [b][u]never[/u][/b] going to reach it Bungie will keep on pulling this 💩. -

Yeah they are listening, they promise that. They just don't bother acting on anything at all, the game is crashing and burning and they do nothing for the players to keep them let alone bring them back. They sunset 80% of the game, removed anything fun anything you could just do to level and now everything must be done to the EXTREME! Enough Bungie let us enjoy the game like we used to, we are not all higher skilled players, some of us just want to jump in do a few things and feel like we had done something to level. No one is hyped for Marathon, because most of us know what Bungie is like with Destiny 2. I was interested at first but with the way they have killed Destiny 2 and the crap with Marathon, I wouldn't play if you paid me. For everything they promise I bet they don't deilver, they are hoping we will all forget their crap in 3 months.

5 RepliesHonestly, the only question i have is who is actually hyped for marathon? I had a passing interest when it was first announced simply for the extended Bungie verse lore callbacks to the really old stuff, but that was it. I don't plan on purchasing it. I don't plan on playing it. I'm legitimately spending more time on my private Minecraft server than current D2, and i don't really see that changing. I'm not looking forward to Renegades, mostly because it looks entirely like a 'emergency colab' to try and stay afloat, when all they needed to do was not let the corpo mindset take over. Unfortunately, that happened a long time ago and they were never able to kick it. Bungie used to be by gamers, for gamers, and it showed. I'll continue to enjoy the game in small doses, but that's all they've turned out into, all they've indicated they want. Log in daily for 25 minutes, complete some dailies, then see you tomorrow. That's what the current model of player engagement encourages, and it's rather sad. I don't care about my power. I care about my loot and builds. You don't need t5s to be optimized. Sure, it would be nice, but it's not the endgame grind goal it used to be.

2 RepliesWhat I don't understand is the "praise" they keep getting for saying they're going to put things back that they previously took out. It'd be like paying for mercs to attack a community just to come in and stop them yourself, then expecting (and strangely receiving) adoration for it. Like, the mercs wouldn't be there if you didn't pay them to be there in the first place, just like they wouldn't have to put all these things back into the game if they weren't trying to rip them out to force their "totally better system we promise" system down your throat. But of course, even when trying to do the Walmart "rollback" scam, they screw it up and introduce worse bugs that end up breaking everything and producing the opposite intended effect. It's wild how Bungie keeps finding ways to dig through that bedrock.

3 RepliesToday??? Where have you been? The release of edge of fate was awful. Bungie abandoned gambit. New PVP maps, what are those? You can’t play content from the game that I’ve bought. And half of ash and iron is content I’ve already paid for.
