The Powergrind has to go
We already hated the +10 Pinnacle Gear Grind pre-EoF, so why would you think that we will enjoy that but 100x worse?
It is so simple: Tiered Gear should be behind fixed difficulties and not behind a grind that takes hundreds of hours. With the current system there is no point to use T5 Gear anyway.
If we had fixed difficulties that we could customize even further to increase loot and even attune which weapons we want then there would be a reason to min-max.
The way it is now completely missed the mark and it is time you give up on the PL grind.

I wasn't a fan of the Pinnacle grind, but it did get me to play more activities. +10 wasn't so bad but +50 was much worse, now it's +350 which is absolutely insane to think most players would want this. If it was +100 that is much more reasonable but still too much in my opinion for the casual gamer(only a few hours each week). Personally I was ecstatic when they reduced and finally removed them, one of the few good things to come out of Lightfall, I believe was Season of the Deep? Even if it was designed to keep players on the grindwheel, it isn't working because players are dropping the game faster than ever before.

EoF was built from the abandoned bones of an "end of life" update, so it was designed to be extremely grindy as a way to keep the addicts hooked and easily run on life support. Wanna know another secret? Luke Smith, reportedly, was the brainchild behind it and started the development of it before he got moved to a different department (before eventually getting let go entirely). Wanna know a funny (not-so-)secret? Go look up Luke's history with WoW and the overwhelming joy he gets lording unearned elitism over other people from his time there. Literally paying guildmates to play his character while he waited for better guilds to figure out mechanics so he could copy them and claim he was "on the ground floor" of raid progression. Makes a lot of sense why Destiny has becomes this now, doesn't it?
