Once you’ve reached 400 you can *technically* get Prime Engram drops from Portal Activities set to [b]Brave[/b] difficulty; the problem is they will drop at lower Light Levels. Ran some Brave level Solo Ops last week to quickly complete the [b]Best Served Cold[/b] Seasonal Challenge and on my third or fourth the completion chest dropped a Tier 5 [b]Mercury-A[/b]… At 200 Light. If you’re specifically looking for Light Level gains after 400, I imagine you’ll need to stick to GM Activities. (΄◉◞౪◟◉｀)

You can get them in Crucible as well, it's just rare.

You can overlevel into GM... I really believe most players will be able to. I'm not saying GM matchmaking isn't a little rough... the curated options can be a little spicy for some. That can and should be adjusted. If you're willing to commit to FTF, learning & experimenting with the mods system... it's so much easier. I promise you, on my ma' I'm not lying. What I'm saying... is that for Fireteam Ops after you reach GM Tier, you want to play customs... only use matchmaking if you want that type of challenge. Hope this helps. GM needs to be Reverted

I’ve seen an engram with the new prime animation drop in the 400 master qp fireteam playlist, and it was a tier 5 400 power gear piece. Gotten a couple of those drops on both Hunter and Warlock. So far to say they do drop in the master 400 quickplay playlist in both solo and mm but they are tier 5, 400 power capped drops. Feel like that’s why they made the top three GM match made so we wouldn’t have to go through LFG to farm primes with a fireteam. Then the option for you to customize the other missions too, to your desired reward tier and farm them if you wanted. I wouldn’t mind at all if there was a GM QP Playlist, why would I be wasting time in a 400 drop cap activity is beyond me but maybe the master playlist cap is increased to 500 in Ash and Iron. If so, then tier 5s will always drop upon completion.
