Marathon is DOA, divert all attention to Destiny asap.
Like seriously, this is a must or you will lose both investments.

They never shouldve wasted money on marathon. They shouldve put all those resources into making destiny 2 better or even a destiny 3. Bungie cheddar Bob'd themselves.

Edited by Joulevette12: 8/26/2025 11:06:53 AMIMO I think they wanted to drop D2 in the first place and focus more on Marathon because they promoted and marketed that game soo much it was ridiculous that it had way more then Destiny 2 the final shape I bet if Marathon beta was successful most of the D2 team would have been put into marathon by putting D2 on the back burner. I personally think that Marathon should have been the second coming of Halo type gameplay as a throwback to the original game it shouldn't never have been just a extraction shooter. *Epic Single player story Campaign * Multiplayer Pvp with a variety of modes

33 RepliesThey can't they have put millions into marathon and need to get it released and for it to do well. Destiny 2 can't support its own costs let alone making back the money spent on marathon.

"you will lose both investments" Bungie doesn't care. Sony bought them, and it's Sony that will eat the losses. Sony is resigned to the losses and has moved on to absorbing Bungie until nobody even remembers their name. Bungie is a complete embarrassment to them.
