I think the point is being lost to some on this post. The point isn’t that the weapons are unable to be used at all, which of course isn’t true, but the fact that you are punished for using old weapons. Your total score isn’t as high as it could be, as well as you are unable to participate in the Avant Garde modifier. Regardless, I’d love to use old weapons, however once the solar sword comes out with Eager Edge, I won’t necessarily have a need for any non-featured gear.
