It's quite sad. Not only did the designers not create something unique, that was bad, but they redesign something that already existed and made it worse. Whoever made the changes to the salt mind needs to either seek another field of work, that is unrelated to video games, or games in general, as you don't know what fun is, you don't know what challenges, you just know how to implement annoyances. And quite well, actually. Maybe you have a future field in politics? But definitely not video games.
