Well it’s funny because they reached it when Bungie changed the game to suit them via Day 1s and trials. All the trials changes and no carry raids killed streamers. I remember when PVE streamers would load up Sherpa after Sherpa for raids. Imagine doing that on Salvations hahahaha. But a good carry raid like RoN was universally shunned. They forgot the whole point

Edited by Motorhead England: 8/15/2025 2:19:37 PMAs I was continuing with my grind the other night, I realised that I had no idea what I was grinding for. In the past, when a new dlc launched, the reason to get to max power asap was to get stuck into the end game content for the best loot, and make completing it a little easier. I haven't bought EoF, so I can't play trials, and I won't be able to do the upcoming dungeon. I can't do the raid either, but that's irrelevant because none of our clan raid anymore anyway. Grand master nightfalls have gone, old raids are not rewarding anything worthwhile, so basically we are all funnelled into doing portal stuff. This is totally going against what Bungie said about wanting players to play how they want to. Now, I absolutely accept that I shouldn't have access to end game content if I don't pay for it, but it made me wonder why I was grinding. There's no need for me to hit max power, cos I won't be doing end game stuff. I have hundreds of excellent weapons and armour filling my vault which are basically useless, because of the silly avante guard mod we sometimes have to use, and the fact that it takes thousands of materials to take an old weapon from level 10 to 300. In other words, I'm grinding for a couple of decent weapons from a handful of new ones that fit in with this season. And when this season ends, we'll all be back to 200. So why am I, or anyone for that matter, are so obsessed with the grind? There were 400 players on max level last time I heard, and I bet most of them are streamers, so is it any wonder why they are reverting to clips of old gameplay and reaction videos?

Edited by Dooodley: 8/15/2025 3:05:31 PMYeah the underlying bitterness and disappointment is pretty obvious with a lot of them. They still try to sugarcoat it though - to be able to stay in Bungie's good graces. And I honestly think that a lot of them simply would have quit the game by now if it wasnt for the fact that all the discussions around everything that isnt working is generating a lot of views and income. It is interesting though to hear them spin things that they obviously also hate into "this could have potential if they do this and that and we wait 6 months and this changes and the stars align...blablah"

Its pretty obvious when the game has no content when they are just reacting to each others videos.
-
Hadn't given it a thought but it makes sense for a release that forgot to have content in it.
-
Now we'll all watch as people twist themselves into a mental pretzel to try and reconcile all the belly-aching they did about Bungie listening to those same streamers with the fact that they're leaving lol.

And don't forget reaction videos
