Please make automatic re-queue a toggle
Automatic re-quing is so irritating, and asinine. It needs to be a toggle. I hate holding down a button for ages as well. I want to take a darn break for a few minutes after an activity. LET ME TAKE A BREAK.
With solo-ops, you are forced into a new activity anyway, and you can't stop them unless you quit the newly joined one.

For Solo Ops they changed the function of return to orbit after the activity is completed to speed up getting into the next one - they changed the text to be 'continue' so it lines up with what it does. DMG mentioned they're working on a fix to let players leave the Solo Ops Quickplay playlist at the end of the activity instead of being requeued but hasn't given any timelines. https://x.com/A_dmg04/status/1950278660466102574
