Solid step in the right direction for Warlocks. love seeing more ability energy regen, extra Fragment slots, and Threadling buffs. Empowering Rift changes and the added team utility are nice touches too. That said, these still feel far behind the sheer raw power, damage output, and overall impact and variety other classes can bring to PvE. Great start, but Warlocks need more if they’re going to truly keep up.
We need a damage super buff or a new exotic to buff one of them. Give us a reason to choose warlock for something other than healing in end game activities.

Promethan Spurs prolly gonna get dusted off... Or Secant filaments. Personally think Class energy shouldn't be an empowering rift thing. It's already a thing from certain armor mods. Buddies are great. They just need to be retooled to be truly worthwhile. 1. They need to generate Orbs on kills. 2. They should definitely be buffed in terms of damage. 3. Child should have buffed range and not attach to a damaged target, but stay near player instead, occasionally shooting beams at targets in range. 4. Scaling Class stat should scale buddy damage. 5. For the love of God, make blink viable as a means of traversal. Play as an Operator in Warframe, take notes then come back when you figure it out. 6. I want to eat my Class charge (Like heat rises) and generate an aura instead. Empowered aura or Regen aura.

I think when we'll of radiance is up in PvE it should be impossible to kill you. I don't know how many times the nerfed well. Nothing was like in destiny 1 with sun singer and self res. Song of flame is a weak -blam!- sunsinger.

GIVE ME BACK ARC WEB 😭

As long as they don’t touch the lighting surge build I’m fine. I’m all for adding more build option but don’t kill the only viable mellow wizard build. Plus I don’t know who at Bungie did the test but in harder content you won’t one tap a champion. Even with syntho, shield crush and facet of courage.

Would've been nice if they made the rift deploy faster, or turn the rift into an aura type ability so it just goes where the warlock goes like song of flame. Titans and hunters have instant deploy with virtually zero drawbacks. Warlocks get to stand still for 15 minutes, draw a funny circle on the ground, and die immediately.
-
I do agree that the animation to drop a well or other abilities needs to be sped up. I've been clobbered too many times.
-
Warlocks fell behind when the other 2 classes got our everything and we basically got nothing from them. They got all our healing kits. Devour and resto. Got all our grenades. And it just continued to decline. Nerf after nerf..its brutal.

Just give an exotic that boosts nova by 50% and grants an overshield to you and nearby allies (There's not many ways to obtain one and both bastion and bubble suck so might as well give something the ability to do so without being bad for ones build). Rn star eaters makes nova hit almost as hard as falling star tcrash but star eaters is exclusive to prismatic so this would give both prismatic and void an exotic.

Edited by Dr Livingston 9: 8/15/2025 1:58:50 AMYou can die easy in dawn blade or song of flame in pvp make those have way more damage resistance. Healing rift is way to weak that's why most of the time i use Phoenix dive. The last thing they will buff is healing because with the buffs they are saying we don't want you to use heAling rift. Extra nova bomb damage would be great. I heard chaos reach is doing some good damage

Edited by Stalkholm: 8/15/2025 12:24:34 AMI'm really happy to see Threadlings buffed; Swarmers is one of my favorite Exotics, it'll be dope to bust that out again and hopefully hold my own. This:
these still feel far behind the sheer raw power, damage output, and overall impact and variety other classes can bring to PvE.
Is something I echoed in my own post: Warlocks feel like Jacks of all trades, masters of none right now, and Destiny 2 is a game that often really requires you to be the master of something. My Titan feels miles more powerful than my Warlock right now, better healing, better damage, better survivability, more fun, too. It just doesn't feel like Warlocks hit very hard right now, meanwhile we're squishier than ever in harder and harder content. I can't quantify any of this, I'm not a theory crafter or a min/maxer, it just feels like we're a step or two behind in a lot of different ways (as compared to being ten steps behind in a single way), like we're a day late and a dollar short. Edit: Also shout out to Bungie for working on fixes for us, and asking us our opinion on what needs doing. More of this! We like this!

I haven't read your replies but I guarantee you'll get someone telling you you're wrong, warlocks are just as good as any class, you're complaining for nothing, get good kid, all that nonesense. To be a warlock is to know, and that is it.

Or the most spammable grenades and immense survivability? That seems pretty good in the endgame.

Hi Mat :)

I still think it's sad that they just decided that "element buddies" is what your identity has become. It's like how Hunters seem to only get Dodge-based exotics like that's all the subclass does worth caring about.

Edited by KRoMXiTo: 8/15/2025 11:23:18 AMNo mercy for bungie from me. After enduring their bs for so many years, I'm quite happy watching their agony as a company.
-
I honestly wasn’t even aware I was weak, so I’m happy for the buffs for sure:
-
and for the love of GOD stop with the focus on Buddies too make us feel unique again pls
-
They're excited to show some future changes. Since Bungie operates as a monkey's paw, I assume they'll try to force Warlocks into being hyper focused on buddies and screw over alternate play styles in a misguided effort to get players on board.

About time.. we still remember the last Guardian Games !!

They are looking into warlock... they will update in Ash and iron update
