It's been a while since I made one of these posts, but the Halloween mood is starting to hit me again. Please don't let Festival of the Lost 2025 activity just be "do portal activities with festive mods" like Solstice was treated.
FotL has always seemed like the time D2 has gone all out with the festive theme and feel. It needs a dedicated activity. Just please don't let that activity be Haunted Sectors in the same form as always. Those are beyond stale at this point. We need something fresh and replayable. Not just a hoop to repeatedly jump through over and over for loot.

I actually really like the new way events are handled, so much more streamlined and much easier to complete with tangible rewards.

An how would you make FoTl better?

BRING BACK THE INFINITE FOREST!!? I'm not going to play it but it does seem like the best choice...

It is going to be run portals for engrams, just like solstice just like arms week. They would need to re code rewards for old stuff, where as with this portal they can just add in one extra engram to every active activity for the day. What seems more likely?

The free-flow of desirable loot in the Solstice event is a good model in moving forward, imho. FoTL could / should do similar.👈 That is all. Ease Springs! 🖖

If they can't charge money for it, expect bare minimum effort

Edited by Hunter_Umbra: 8/14/2025 8:40:39 AMIf I was a betting man, I would say they’re going to add Nightmare Hunts to the Portal in Ash and Iron in preparation for FoTL.

It will be "Spooky" Portal Modifiers But in this case I welcome it , Solo Ops are alot better to farm than Haunted Sectors Hope they have an interesting new weapon this year, hopefully a new rocket sidearm in the darkness slot

You know it will be.

I feel your sentiment. I was super bummed out to find out that Solstice wasn't Solstice this year. It had always been my favorite event, and I liked the separate location for it. -
I agree, something more in keeping with the spirit of the holiday. 🎃
