There is absolutely no reason I should have to use Fireteam Finder for something like basic/easy Onslaught with no modifiers. It should just launch into matchmaking like it always did. Same goes for any basic/non-modified Fireteam Ops activity (or whatever the current standard mods are for that week). Sure, on Onslaught I can use FF but when someone drops for whatever reason, now I have to try to find someone mid activity but Onslaught keeps going. You can't just stand around for a while waiting like in a raid.
In general, when I go to Fireteam Ops, the word Fireteam indicating I would need a team ie matchmaking will be on, then I should just be able to launch right in. If I go to Fireteam Ops now and scroll down the list of activities and select one, it probably has matchmaking off. But if I enter playlist and it selects the activity for me, it's matchmade. There was no need for this change.

I opt out of the matchmade fireteam ops, because it won't complete with the grade needed. Many others are as well. Or just plain avoiding fireteam ops as a whole. With the amount of players, and so many options, it's a good chance that you could end up waiting for a really long time, or never find anyone to matchmake with. At least until they fix the scoring issues. 3 is honestly enough, and only the MM options get the focus drop

Even with a peak number of concurrent players that would just split the population while most people just spam the same activity they're told is most "efficient" every single day until they burn themselves out.
