anyone else struggling to play?
Really motivated to play. But as soon as I load up I just exit. Every single change they did is beyond awful.
Forced to use featured gear, which is al terrible. Forced to do the same activities, which awful modifiers.
Whole company needs to go.

1 ReplyI’m literally just grinding to get a good roll on one gun then I’m done until Winter, unless ash and iron turns out to be good. Apparently I’m a Warlock main now also. I usually start with the character I use the least and end with the one I use the most so it will be at the highest lvl. I can’t bring myself to do that campaign two more times, I started working on my Titan next, the wishful ignorance build was making it tolerable, now I don’t even want to bother.

Building steam... not struggling at all. On Saturday I figured out how to level the final band 400-450. Went from 400 to 418 in the last few days. 😇👍💠

One of the most annoying features of the Edge of Fate release is the Avant Garde requirement for certain triumphs such as Fireteam Conquest roadblock. They should rename the requirement Derriere Garde. I think it came about when one of the developers invented one of the new gear pieces, and needed to justify to his/her manager that it was a "brilliant" idea, and should be placed as another hurdle in the leveling process. Youtube content creator Time Sausages humorously complained about the conquest roadblock in his video, EEm-3xlzIH4, which viewers can locate through the search box in youtube. Destiny 2 is turning into a game that should be called Dentistry 2, because the unpleasantness is like sitting in a chair for a root canal, each time you start (or attempt to start) a game session. Sony, I hope you are listening to user complaints, because no one in management at Bungies seems to care.

2 RepliesYep as soon I stopped caring about the tier 5s I stopped caring in general, this isn't fun anymore. If this is how it's going to be for everything going forward then just end it now, shut the game down it's finished you ruined it! The grind shouldn't be the only reason to play, there's no merit to this bare bones bullsh!t. Grind for weeks to get tier 5s but only if you have no life, all to use it where? Let's look at it logically shall we... In normal pvp or trials? With the cheater cesspool that it is nowadays h3ll no! Then in raids or dungeons? we already got all that loot and there's no refresh coming either so anything that drops is worthless. So back to quickplay then? No thanks already did that to get to this point not going back. Gambit???? Never!!!! So the only alternate is to give up and stop playing do literally anything else. Thanks bungie you made the choice for us.

1 ReplyI've been enjoying using the forums! Perhaps to others' dismay. Take a break, this season's grind is really a grind, it's okay to come back for Ash and Iron if you're burned out.

This old tortoise took it slowly.did the campaign on normal, as usual, to learn the lay of the land, and to see what’s what?! The new armour system felt too convoluted. As did the new tier system. And getting use to stuff, and ‘sparky’ and other ‘new’ mechanics, took a while. I got to the final mission, though still haven’t done it yet. By now, with my LL / GR going up, it made more sense to switch to another character…so I did. Was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the LL / GR needles moved…quickly got to the point where it made more sense to switch to the final character - principally to grind Scorcher crucible for the lustrous armour set + glows. At the current LL320 / GR7 - I’m rapidly approaching my ‘ceiling’…there’s way too much Neomuna Overtuna to make me want to play more! Also, with the throttling of desirable loot drops, there’s not much point to grind stuff out. Once I’ve completed the last character’s lustrous armour set, which will be soon, I’ll be mostly done. Am not chasing higher tier stuff. I don’t want to grind artificially enhanced difficulty levels, ie, Neomuna Overtuna… Maybe iron banana is the next bit of ‘fun’…?! What got me engaged to play 3x characters to where I now am, was the free flowing loot drops - for simply playing the game in a simple manner, until the upper tier LL / GR system took over…and that’s when my interest evaporates. Less is NOT more! ❌🎰❌ That is all. Play Fair! Play Nice! Don’t Cheat! 👈👈👈 Murphy, my ghost, agrees! 👻 Ease Springs! 🖖

I'm at 277. I get home from work, instantly turn on d2, then just float in orbit and watch YouTube lol. I find it hard to bring myself to play.

I’m enjoying Kepler and crucible. Just finished legendary campaign and had a blast. I am not digging the portal; at least its execution. Solo ops is so boring, and running the matchmade fireteam ops just reminds me of D1 days staying in the strike playlist grinding the Psion Flayer cloaks. It’s not engaging. No way they looked at this system, tested it, and said “let’s ship it.”

56 RepliesIt’s the worst experience ever. I can’t even join any lfgs. I’m like 240 on my Titan and I never get accepted or instantly kicked. I used to be good at this game. Now, because I don’t play 10 hours a day, I can’t even team up with anyone anymore. It is the opposite of what they want to stand for with their virtue signalling. It’s exclusive, elitist, exploitative, and disrespectful to all paying customers.

That’s why, I didn’t buy the DLC. After i saw all the changes they were making, my common sense just kicked in and i was right, so far all i see and read is this game being garbage.

I did that about a week until I just stopped. I think I've decided to wait until they fix the grind in Sept then see where it is.

I've hit the post 400 wall now. I have lost all motivation. Im not running stuff for the chance at getting 1 drop that might help me get 3/8 of a power level. Nah.

I do a few of the portal activities earn a few items and log off because of the repetitive activity, it’s to much like an arcade game.

1 ReplyHaven't played in a few days. I tried, but every time i got near the console I just blew it off. Tonight the wife was in the room watching TV where my console is. She says I can go in the other room to watch TV if you want to play your game. I said nah, stay where you are. In 10 years I never said that. She looked at me somewhat surprised, and I just said at this point it's just sh*t and walked out of the room. Not struggling, I just don't care.

And when you think to yourself "I should mix it up a little" you'll notice that fireteam quickplay doesnt even offer a high enough difficulty for me to progress (I'm only getting 400 master when I believe I need one that's at least at my power so that I can get drops to round out my level) . And the pre-set options all have grapple. So back to solo ops or just turning off.
