Menagerie and even Salvage were great.
I loved the little chaos 6 players matchmade activities had.
Witch queen has one that's still in the game, but i think it is pretty bad. One arena, two ways and little variations.
Kinda same with Dares. It didn't got an update in an eternity (pun intended).
And don't tell me that 12 player excision is a thing. It's laggy/buggy as -blam!- and MM is so dead for it. Replay value is also none unless you got an SE key.
But the last 6-player activity was Salvage in Season of the Deep (S21). Thats 2 years ago and has been deleted for over a year.
Bring em back or make something new.

First time I've ever seen someone call salvage great
-
You say that, but i remember people complaining throughout Final Shape about the game not being solo friendly etc
-
I miss menagerie and escalation protocol. All other 6 player seasonal crap they did was trash and felt like it was just arbitrarily made to be 6 players just to say they did it, and not because it made the activity better. Its not fun to have to basically fight other players just to participate in the activity at all. Especially nowadays when all classes have the power of trinity ghoul in every element thanks to the verbs system. Imagine trying to do escalation or menagerie in this day and age when you have players with purple SMGs wiping out hordes as the spawn.

Menagerie was pretty awesome ngl

I agree. I played the 6 player activities far more than the 3 player ones. They seem to have been sunset much like new public patrol locations with randoms. Two parts of the game that were more fun than challenge for many of us.
-
Hard agree, I think they missed not putting any of the 6 man activities in the portal on a rotation smh

Edited by Guardian,Archon Of Light: 8/10/2025 10:16:24 AMAgreed Playing by yourself should never be the best way to get loot in a multiplayer game I am a solo player, but I am surprisingly missing fighting and looting with blueberries, I miss feeling like I'm in a lived in world, since Final Shape we have been in our own isolated instance, we need to get back to public patrol destinations Make D2 social again!!!!, menagerie with 2 chests each encounter and 4 after Final Boss, even the Infinite, verdant, haunted forest would be a good 3 player activity

It really feels like Bungie has been trying to remove any aspect of social elements from this game.

Me too

Well now I'm thinking about how cool a six person Onslaught would be. Shout out for Dares of Eternity, I loved that.

I never would have believed how pigeon-holed Destiny is after 11 years. We had Big Team Battle in Halo how long ago? You'd think the PvE & PvP options would be a mile long, with endless variety thanks to improved AI. Bungie really pushed public events before D1 dropped. No effort at all to expand them and make them worthwhile. That should have been an easy W. If Microsoft had ever turned Halo into a live service looter shooter, they could have clobbered Destiny.

I agree with you but with so many asking for everything to be solo'able including raids, if I were Bungie I'd ask the question, "Why bother?"

I will say, the deathless menagerie challenges were the most fun I have had in a depends activity ever. Getting something like that back would be great.
