Grapple Modifier on quickplay makes the activity unplayable
Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse from anti-gravity killing my hunter using ascension. The grappler modifier arrives to ruin my day and make the game unplayable. News flash. I use my grenade. My hunter uses it for grapple melee, and my entire build is focused with using it whenever it's up to deal damage, and protect myself. My warlock uses her grenade. I have a starfire build and nothing manacles build which are FEATURED exotics and they use entirely focused around using grenade. Who in their right mind actually thought that players who often make builds around grenades, would enjoy having that grenade taken away from a stupid grapple??? Seriously, it needs to be removed from quickplay FOREVER. If people want to use that in their personal runs, that's great for them, but I literally can't play quickplay on days when that is active, so I guess I'll play a different game.

4 RepliesNothing Manacle main, checking in: Can confirm, can't do blam. I'll try Felwinter's Helm later, even though that loadout is, like, 30LL lower than my Nothing Manacles build. Bungie, I get that you want to encourage other play styles, but [b]forcing[/b] other play styles is really frustrating. If Grapple Melee worked, I think a lot of us could work with that, but right now it's mostly just going to be a dead slot for us, especially considering that we have to kill everything in a Strike in order to get a good score. Grapples are great for skips, but if we skip stuff in a Strike, we lose score and it makes the running the Strike pointless. You made Anti-Grav optional, much to the delight of the community, please make Grapple optional, too. Preferably before the end of Solstice, I'd like to get some of that good loot!
