Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse from anti-gravity killing my hunter using ascension. The grappler modifier arrives to ruin my day and make the game unplayable. News flash. I use my grenade. My hunter uses it for grapple melee, and my entire build is focused with using it whenever it's up to deal damage, and protect myself. My warlock uses her grenade. I have a starfire build and nothing manacles build which are FEATURED exotics and they use entirely focused around using grenade. Who in their right mind actually thought that players who often make builds around grenades, would enjoy having that grenade taken away from a stupid grapple??? Seriously, it needs to be removed from quickplay FOREVER. If people want to use that in their personal runs, that's great for them, but I literally can't play quickplay on days when that is active, so I guess I'll play a different game.

You can tell by the way this entire update is designed that they understand you have a grenade build. Their intention is to FORCE you to make another build. Which really goes against what they stated their design philosophy was (“to allow you to play the way you want to play”). Think about it… Grapple Modifier - Takes your Grenade away and gives you a Non-Combat version of grapple. The grapple melee is purposely turned off. Fireteam Ops - The tab itself selectively turns matchmaking off on any activity they are not “featuring” at the moment. And they also nerfed the rewards of activities like Onslaught which was greatly rewarding pre-update. AVANTE GARDE MODIFIER - You cannot even load in to the activity if ALL your armor and ALL your weapons don’t have the blue “featured” tab. Including your Exotic. SUNSETTING, basically. Zero Gravity Modifier - Pretty obviously meant to slow you down and discourage Movement-based builds, and builds where you slide-melee, or jump and activate melee. Haste Modifier - Discourages builds centered around Rifts, Barricades, Sustained Fire, etc. So, your attrition orbs build, your bolt charge barricade build, your actium war rig build, your sniper build, your various Warlock rift builds are all penalized for standing in one spot. Etc etc etc… it’s sort of like a mobile game design, where you have to do the daily designated task to get the reward. And then wait till the next day of the rotation to get another one. Or… buy silver and buy ranks. Anyway, yeah… they know we have these builds. And they purposely tried to put a barrier up to use those builds, in order to force doing something else. This is not just me speculating either, Tyson Green literally said in one of the vidocs that they viewed the fragment nerfs and other changes as, “Correcting player behavior.” That statement means they have a particular way they want to train us to play. Problem is…. That actually makes the vault space situation WAY worse. Esp layered on top of the armor archetype system. There isn’t enough space or slots for all the builds someone would want to make.
