After the release of Edge Of Fate, I’ve come to realize that the Ward of Dawn is not nearly as strong as it use to be. I am not sure if it’s because the health of the bubble is no longer tied to the non-existent Resilience stat or because of some other reason.
Additionally, what the Ward of Dawn offers is, and honestly has always been, a bit lack luster; even with the Helm of Saint-14.
My Proposal:
- Significantly increase the Ward of Dawns health
- Tie the new “Super” stat into its duration and the health of “Armor of Light” (I know it does this but make it official, have it mentioned in game and increase it to 45 seconds instead of 40 while at 200 super)
- Have a 360 rally barricade around the light purple over-shield giving aura around the bubble to further enhance its defensive capabilities
- Ward of Dawn now increases ammo generation and any ammo brick that is spawned while affected by the Ward of Dawn is spawned inside the Ward of Dawn, not at the dead enemy.
- Maintains the weakening and knock back effect when casted but makes it more noticeable.
Additionally, I believe the Helm of Saint-14 should also be a buff. While Weapons of Light is beneficial, it very rarely ever gets any usage due to the ample amount of the other damage increases in the game.
My Proposal:
- Remove Weapons of Light
- Replace the blinding effect people get when entering the Ward of Dawn with a suppression effect to fit the Void theme
- Getting kills/ assists while affected by the Ward of Dawn, increase its duration and replenishes its health.
This would give the Helm of Saint-14 a more defensive role rather than an offensive with Weapons of Light that, in my opinion, always felt off.
