Fix Crucible Matches not counting for things!!!!
For the second week in a row many of us are being forced to play crucible when we’d almost rather cut our own wrists. Not only forced to play crucible but stupid gimmicky crucible.
Why is it for years that only about half of the finished crucible matches count toward triumphs or even seasonal challenges or Holiday events?
This has been a VERY known issue for many many years but you keep making us do this crap. As I write this I’m at 6/7 of the required matches needed for the basic solstice seal but it is really 12/7. I’m so sick of continued issues like this going on.
Quick fix: stop requiring us play crucible for challenges, triumphs and dailies. It should be a choice anyway. The majority of people I know don’t care for it at all but only do it because they have to for a seal or because of challenges.
If it wasn’t a majorly overlooked issue I wouldn’t care but if you arent going to fix it stop making us do it!!!!

Yes, I had this problem. Solution: Launch it from the crucible screen, not from the solstice screen. It should fix it. It has nothing to do with leaving early or doing something else. When you are on the portal screen. Click on crucible and launch that activity. Scorched. It will count.

3 RepliesEdited by Magiscene: 8/8/2025 11:36:17 AMIf it helps I noticed things don’t seem to count if you leave to early. I left a game before the post game scoreboard was up thinking I was in the clear because the endgame timer was up and it didn’t progress my daily challenge. Hope that helps.

Challanges and triumphs are all optional. You sound like you want to get certain triumphs and challanges done. When you have a desire for something in game then only you can force yourself to get it done if the requirements are something you don't like. Saying the game or bungie forces you is absolutely deluded. The matches randomly not registering won't be fixed ever. It's been about 6 years . I made a thread about it many years ago in the game issues forum and bungie responded explaining how extremely random bugs that are not static are next to impossible to fix. Get help champ, you clearly express addictive behaviours where you are oblivious to who is forcing you.

1 ReplyThis week you just need to play 7 matches of the cheesy-fun gimmick mode that nobody is taking seriously for the entire event. You don’t need to complete every daily challenge to max your event rank. And crucible is only needed for guilding the event title. It’s not even a quick farm for the event loot….

Had the same. Can't stand Crucible, never could but I thought I'd do 3 Scorched for the Solstice bounty. 1 counted, next one didn't, gave up and re-rolled the bounty. Bungie have always tried to force people to play game modes they don't like either with quest progression or just using their favourite FOMO tool of locking PVE weapons behind PVP game modes and visa versa. They've never publicly addressed it as far as I'm aware but seem to have a completely belligerent attitude towards it. Towards Destiny 2 in general, especially where the community are concerned. We all know they only listen to streamers... They'll never stop trying to get you to play everything in game because it has the potential to generate more income. It's been shouted about a million times and they've never changed it.
