With Solstice drops +1 makes playing the game fun again. This rewarding feeling should have been here from the beginning. If guardian ranks is linked to the quality of your drops your rank should have carried over from last season. This would have helped with retention immensely. Already the sun setting of your gear was bad enough, but not being able to immediately start earning replacements was demoralizing. Spending the first 3 weeks dismantling your drops made the game feel pointless and the grind unnecessarily annoying. I'm not asking for free T-5s as I am not 400 power. But getting T-4 armor finally felt like I was able to get what I previously had, finally earning gear as equally as good as I had three weeks ago. That is the key for your normal average veteran players, feeling like what your mindlessly grinding for at least will keep you current with the power fantasy you've already achieved. I'm telling you this would have been it for the players that left Getting a few 99 stat armor prices in the middle of the first week grind would have made players say hey I can get good rewards and the grind isn't so bad. I'm sorry to hear that your losing your control over the company but this was your one chance to build on all the positive changes with the game. Instead the tier system delivered a massive blow to morale and motivation to play. You should have listened to the community instead of a small group of streamers on how to take the game forward. Now we'll see if Sony can make it right.
