I have been playing EOF for weeks just like everyone else and honestly destiny lost a bit of its sauce with the portal and featured exotics. no reason to go back to old content just to be at a -10 to -30 delta and no powerful/pinnacles to be earned in them. the only activities worth grinding right now are solo ops Caldara or pinnacle encore or whisper just for them to be set back down to 200. Maybe ash and iron or renegades will change and/or expand on this and give reasons to go back to do old content or maybe a raid ops and/or a dungeon ops playlist can be made if bungie is this hellbent on making the portal work for everyone. Post EOF is kind of boring with the only things to really do is grind power levels in said activities and/or complete titles. I didn't mind the arms week event but solstice removing the bonfire bash was just not necessary.
The actual story of the expansion is good and I do enjoy all the tiered loot I'm getting. the new armor 3.0 and the set bonuses are actually cool and hyped to see what they have in store next in terms of new gear set and even the story and weapons. hopefully Bungie cooks with this new saga and all the updates.
that's just my current thoughts on the game and needed somewhere to post this,

Nonsense. - remove the ‘New Gear’ nonsense that means all previous gear is sunset and you have to grind again every few months… nonsense. - Remove guardian ranks, they’re arbitrary and again… nonsense Just let us put the time in to grind the best loot from hard activities, other loot from easier activities… without gating behind the nonsense above. I play for the sandbox, to make builds in PVE and PVP… not as a second job. I want my gear to last forever in game once I earn it, but earning it to be hard. Think mindbenders ambition grind. I don’t want the light grind with regular reset to being ABLE TO FARM the items I’d like, or my gear turning into a pumpkin every few months. Nonsense. Please fix and I’ll go pay to play again (I want to and have paid for every expansion in D2 up to now), but I can’t condone the way Bungie have made the game exploitative and greedy in EOF.
