I watched a video yesterday regarding how the Solstice event is handing out "super rewards", i.e. tier 5 armour and weapons.
Great, I thought.
But then, the catch.....
IF you have hit level 400, IF you are at guardian rank 9, IF you are able to grind this game 12 hours a day, 7 days a week on an industrial scale......then there might be something to get excited about.
I'm currently sitting at power level 232, guardian rank 6 and I've played every day since this abomination launched.
There are some guardians who just cannot do this and it seems that Bungie are rubbing salt in the wounds of those who have families and full time work commitments.
When they said they would reward players for their playtime, they didn't say it only applied to streamers and the top few percentage of elites who play Destiny for a living.
It's like giving millionaires the winning lottery numbers AND paying for their tickets.

Well that's the reason why last week I grinded from rank 7 to rank 9 in 1 week so I won't Miss out on these kind of rewards. Since I pretty much got everything in my vault and all my characters tier 4 and up I'm just not going to grind next season unless they introduce some better gear sets. Yeah the power resets each season and our new gear bonus has reset but the perks on the new gear does not disappear and that would include our stats as well. I just see that as like more of a benefit because if you wanted to lessen next season to reach 550 if you have stuff from season of reclamation you're gonna be able to grind pretty quicker on harder content. As we know that is bungie's theme make the game harder but don't give us better rewards that's why I'm less hopeful that the next few seasons that we probably won't get like a crazy amount of new gear sets..
