As the title says, it's too early in the new DLC to have a perk like this. There are too few options for builds to use for it to be an engaging modifier. I can't run any exotic armor except the new one, and I don't want to use that play-style currently. Players are forced to use loadouts they don't prefer just to get extra points to maybe get better gear. Let players have more flexibility in activities to play the way they want.
Everything should be viable for high-end content.
I'd enjoy Avant-garde if it was a special modifier that showed up as an event like Arms Week right before Renegades or at the end of Renegades' half-update before going into the next 2 DLCs... but give us a really good reason to use the modifier, and don't skimp on the rewards. We should be getting 3x rewards at bare minimum as it'd be the end of the DLC as you want players to want to have some builds from earlier in the year that they decide to use out of a early sense of nostalgia.
That's my two cents though, I hope someone on the Bungie team is looking at these and is working on sending these types of feedback to the right people.

Edited by Dragokin: 8/6/2025 9:18:48 PMMore likely than not It's a modifier to get people to use all of the new stuff so they can beta test the new stuff to track the builds with the new stuff so they can see what they need to fix or adjust involving the new stat system on the new stuff It's just a lazy way of having us do the beta test and debug and theme it as a "challenge" And it's another way to force people into ditching their old gear in favor of the new stuff because destiny has a history of legacy gear breaking things whenever there's updates that don't affect it
