Whenever someone tries to use the /join or /invite command with my Bungie ID ( StarGoldenAZ#2838 ), it will prompt a 'Cannot be joined' or 'Target is currently offline' error, I can USE the /join and /invites on other peoples accounts and it will work fine. My NAT type is Open.
Here's videos of the bug currently ( Season: Reclamation )

Here's videos from before account unlinking was removing ( Season of the Wish ) the same bug AND it going away once I unlinked my xbox account from my bungie account

Edited by EckyThump: 8/6/2025 7:46:45 AMHey there. Because you've got two accounts linked but cross-save is not set up, there are two 'StarGoldenAZ#2838'. If you look on your profile, there is a platform picker, which lets people look at either one of these two linked profiles. However, most parts on the site, and also in-game, do not do this. They will default to looking at a single account and ignore the others. In order of priority, it will look at XBox first, if that is not present then PSN next, then Steam, and Epic's at the bottom. The reason why is just that XBox profiles are /1/<account number> in the data, PSN is /2/, Steam is /3/, Epic is /6/. So whenever someone tries to /join or /invite, the system is trying to find your XBox account - even though you're in-game on your Steam characters. That is why it reports back that the player is not found. Yes, you yourself can use both commands. There's only one fix, now that accounts can't be unlinked. Setting up cross-save would mean there's only one StarGoldenAZ#2838, and Steam would be the only account it will see - /join and /invite should then work fine. (Though yes also, there's scope for a fix so the game joins/invites people to the account being played, however this has not been acknowledged as a known issue.)
