How can I unlink a Xbox account from this bungie account im using.
I'm a long time destiny player and about a year ago I took a trip to Japan and came back just to see I lost access to my xbox account, I tried for weeks and never got it back so I gave up on it. I recently wanted to get back into destiny but don't want to make a new account. I have access to my bungie account just not my old xbox account. Can I unlink it and link it to a new one ?

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. The short answer is no, you can't. Since March 25th's [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]unlinking update[/url], only Twitch accounts are now eligible to be unlinked from Bungie profiles. All other platform accounts, once linked, are linked permanently. Further, as Bungie entrusts players with the security and management regarding linking their accounts, we do not unlink any accounts on players' behalf. Thus, the Xbox account in question will remain linked.
