I'm not adding modifiers to master but it's giving me B's and A's now don't know why. The game knows I suck.

I just find some of the modifiers to be ridiculous. Especially solo. The level isn't the main issue, IMO.

It feels weird, it's hard when master first opens up, but you can use a bunch of boons without tanking your score. So it seems fair. Then all of a sudden, you cant use any boons, and need a ton of negatives to get an A rank. Its not gradual, its like hitting a wall all of a suden. Noticed it right about 320LL. (The following is my comment from another post) I'm at 330 or so now, I feel the difficulty spike now. On master I have to run so many modifiers to achieve A rank that it becomes very unfun to play. OK maybe I should be running GM now? No, they basically one shot me at GM at this level. So what's the answer? No Hud, locked loadout, No starting amo, 2 negative modifiers minimum, and zero boons. Yea, it's a challenge alright, and I clear, but it really isn't fun.... Edit: another thing, I feel I am doing way more solo these days, haven't played in a fireteam but a few times this expansion. That could be part of the problem, not sure if fireteam scaling is a thing or not. But it seems hard to find a fireteam because everyone wants different modifiers, and everybody gets a different scoring grade. I don't have a good answer....

Try to find a build with good sustain and versatility. If warlock, use a devour build. I used a getaway artist prismatic build for my grind, with Elemental Honing on the Mint Retrograde, it provides a serious punch to the weapon. I paired it with a Vision of Confluence from VoG with Incandescent and Elemental Honing for barrier or Zaouli's Bane for unstop, along with a Boomslang with Jolting Feedback (Overload stunner). Getaway Prismatic is very colorful, so it works extremely well for elemental honing weapons. x4 can be kept up at almost all times through solar primary and double turrets. It kind of trivialized much of the grind for me. Zaouli's bane I run with Demolitionist and explosive payload, so I can reload when I pull a pair of turrets out of my pocket. Agape can slot in here instead of Zaouli, but I havent gotten a decent one yet. But, its important to have some sort of healing in the build, especially as you move up and want to add Brawn (post 400). The Bushido armor set is MUCH better than TechSec, but you get that in Pinnacle, not Solo Ops... so if you arent grinding that solo, you need to add some healing into your build. If Titan, Alpha Lupi is featured. Not sure about hunter, but a heal clip weapon would be ideal at least.

That doesn't make sense to me. I Accidentally did solo Caldera at -90 power and still finished with 3 minutes to spare. And I am by no means the best at this game. At -8 power you should be flying through that, assuming you know the objectives

What do you need the higher levels for if you aren’t doing above master?

Few questions 1. How fast are you dying 2. How's your pve build 3. How are you approaching combat

Sounds like a build issue to me. Looking at your Warlock you have gear with 0 mod equipped and your guns have PvP perks focus. Your are certainly going in at a disadvantage if you don’t leverage abilities and build in Master. I’m 270 and I have no difficulty clearing Master content so it s not a game issue.

I'm Light Level 280 and to be honest, yeah, I'm struggling in Master level difficulty; I never did Master level content before Edge of Fate, I'm feeling out of my depth. Like, I can get through them if I really try, but there's not much joy in it. Do people really play Master level content for fun? I'm sort of worried I've risen to the level of my incompetence. Yes, it's a skill issue, but if I can't do Master level content then it seems like I might have nearly reached the end of my Tiered upgrades - at Tier 2.5 - a month after the launch of the Expansion. I'm going to keep playing, maybe it'll feel easier with a few more light levels, but right now I'm feeling some frustration. The gulf between Expert and Master is pretty big, at least for me.
