Why are new exotics worse?
Old exotics went up to 70 stats and you have an extra slot for any +3.
New exotic armor goes up to 62 and no extra slot?

I'll just say it here while I can... the +3 thing is one of, if not THE most useless feature of the game! it could've been another +10, hell, it could've even been a simple +5, but nooooo! instead we this insignificant +3, for the ppl who can't stand odd numbers... just wanted to get this one out of my chest...ty :)
