Power grind is disgusting
The grind up to 399 is awful, pre Edge of Fate power grind needed work but was in no way near this horrible.
Can't play with friends if any of us want worth while loot since we're all at different power levels and it skews rewards.
Power grind 399 onwards is absolutely disgusting, it is literally (insert your preferred poison here simulator), run the same activity a thousand times + to go up a few power levels.
There is no power fantasy, there is still some fun . . . but barely.
I think at this point Bungie you need to make a decision -
Continue trying to cater to the top 10% elitists and streamers and lose the other 90%
or
Cater to the other 90% of people that play this game who have jobs that require 40+ hour weeks etc who don't find the game ridiculously easy because they don't get paid to play it 24/7 and just turn a deaf ear to the elitist / streamer complaints that feel the game is too easy for themselves.
You cannot have both.

I don't think it was terrible sub 300. Once I hit 300 it was like I hit a wall. I've refused to do the K1/Caldera grind thus far and will continue to refuse. I play for fun, not work.

A billion percent this. maybe 3.4 billion percent, Isn't that the going rate these days Bungie? I doubt they will listen, maybe when numbers drop enough they might make a change.

It's not. 200 can be reached in a few hrs. 200-300 was easy because you can blue anywhere. And 300-375 took me maybe 10-15 hrs... hard to tell I take breaks, wait idle searching LFG... pop in the forums, lol.

This was done purposefully to get the 10% to have no choice but to slow grind to 400 to get tier 4/5. They removed the ability to just do hard stuff for best reward. You now have to grind and do the hard stuff. Now the more people that sit there and do the solo Playlist grind to 400, the less likely bungie changes it. All the streamers/content creators etc that are doing it...are justifying bungies decision. I guarantee you, if those 10% stopped playing, bungie would change it. But they dont, they keep grinding. So bungie will keep doing it.

Word of advice: when you make an MMO game, don't have the best way to make progress be to play by yourself for hours.

Agreed as a man who has a life outside of desitny working full time job come home take care of responsibilities and needs what I do I get on destiny play like it’s a 2nd job bungie just wants player numbers up on steam man it’s not working they are losing players then they think

1 Replystuck in solo ops forever . 399 power level whatever . lm bored AF just trying to get to 310 ,l don't know how many thousands of hours l played this game . but this game is pretty lame now. l wouldn't call it destiny. maybe just nut grinder deluxe.

Between work and commuting I'll have days where I cant play at all and I havent dedicated any days off to playing. I've played when I wake up early - and there's nothing better to do - and an hour here and there to knock out the daily resets. I'm currently at 312 but I'm starting to notice it progressing slower and normal PvP isnt really a valid option at all. That said, with the rumors of it being ten times worse between 400 and 450 and upcoming resets back to 200 they've made me less invested so I dont care - which also affects me in the sense that I dont care for other things in the game either and I'm not sure that's what they want from their players.

The fact that I have to be with same power level fireteam is the worst. That and having to grind armour every season. Too many puzzles is annoying as well. But really, the motivation is just gone. I can’t control my drive to play a game. I just don’t have it anymore.

They can in effect have both if they: Stop caring how fast a streamer levels. AND Stop caring if the top 10% elite players can one shot stuff that is a realistic difficulty for average players. AND Still make the hardest content for them, GMs, master level raids, and dungeons, etc AND Do not exclude average players from things like the seasonal exotic And STOP for the love of all that is good with the power level caps in activities. We like power fantasy, without the forced builds and god roll weapon perks. Those of us who do not have hours to grind out those few right rolls on the correct weapons will forever be at a disadvantage to those that have the hours to grind for that one right drop. Which could be fixed by dropping half of the perk pool. Reduce the number of perks available for each weapon and make those that remain actually worth owning even if they are not the best roll possible. BUT Bungie would never go for FUN and ENGAGING over boring and tedious. They fail to realize more players is better for every metric. Better most of all for the bottom line.

I've started to enjoy the game a little more since I started to understand the armour system and how it works, but then the power level grind is absolutely awful, plus the repetition of activities is equally just as awful and both need to change, specially rotation of activities. It gets boring extremely fast. That's just my take so far

6 Repliesi have reached a point where i cant handle the pve content. this game will die if they dont fix it. if you want us to grind we should not have to do progressivly harder content. i cant get gear even plus 1 in master solo ops because its way way to hard for me. i can finish the solo ops but not in the time alotted and i die alot the enemies do way too much damage. ya the dificulty for grinding should be regular strike level difficulty no more. now i know why they did not put other activities in the portal because they are not as hard as master content or grandmaster. a regular dungeon is so easy compared to master solo ops. im like 40 under level. its way way way way too hard. i have to play pvp now to level up. if i que for master quickplay i dont get gear higher because me and my randoms fail. we are all dying left and right. sure some gamers are good enough for that but not many. if you complete an activity regardless of your grade you should get at least a plus two. the way it is now you might not even get one piece of gear. i wasted 20 minutes doing luminality on master. it took us 12 more minutes after the timer and we all got nothing. that is a slap in the face. its elitism to the 1000th degree. well bungie employes will be losing thier jobs.

To get hand canons you had to buy engrams with telemetry, but then to decode the engrams you needed to spend more telemetry????? Why not just increase the cost of the initial engrams? Because they want people to over buy the engrams and then have to keep playing to get more telemetry to decode them.

She's a slow grind for sure. unless your job is grinding fulltime running solo junk 12 hours a day like some streamers ol bungie making them work for there money now . grind boy grind ,you'll grind and you will like it. it shows how far they will go for views lol
