Just curios. Whenever you like this system or not, your actions speak for yourself.

I won't grinding for anything anymore.. I'll jump on & run about shooting stuff til the fun metre drains then I'll bounce. I have done enough Encore, Empire Hunts, Onslaught, Battlegrounds, Delves & all that loop enough in the last 1,000 days to do me to the end of the earth.. I used to love doing the power cap & the new season activities & the weekly story.. on all three. Now it's an absolute slog to finish the campaign on one character THEN get sucked into the Portapotty facemash for power that is constantly capped with - numbers for all the stuff that gets us up to good numbers? This is deranged.. No. Destiny 2 is dumb now.
-
I was done at 50 😂
-
LOL 😂 absolutely not-I could care less now lololol
-
Just got to 400 last night, played a couple more hours since then and haven't seen a single 401. GR 9 and everything. Seems like a brutal grind.

Edited by ODSTrooper: 8/4/2025 5:57:03 PMProbably not, as I don't like that this was sunsetting 2.0. I had over the years, collected so much good gear and essentially any god roll one would want, and this could have been something saved for a sequel if there ever was to be one down the road. The fact that in 6 months we may be expected to do this all over again, doesn't sound appealing either, and I'm somebody who has put in probably over 6,000 hours by now. I could soon be taking a break after I eventually do maybe the raid title for other games for a while.
-
No, dont have the time.
-
Doing it once. If they choose to reset it in 6 months, I'll finally move on after doing what I have access to. Already hearing warframe respects their players.
-
Probably going to hit 400 then focus on the raid for the most part.
-
Nope, no desire. Only played today because I'm bored at home after a training run. This game isn't Destiny anymore. I don't know what it is now.
-
Well yes I'm going to, how else am I suppose to show off my full T5 armor set and guns with perfect rolls to the people who don't have any of that.
-
I’m not sure if I’m grinding to 300. In 4 months all the levels, armor, and weapons you wasted hours of your life on is replaced with a new grind for power level, weapons, and armor.
-
Grinding to 450 is it’s like a second mortgage. I wish I was unemployed so that I can easily grind.
-
This is the worst the game has ever been. I used to power level all three chars in the first two weeks and then get through the pinnacles. I got to 300 or thereabouts and I just don’t care now. I haven’t even done the raid and that’s the first one I’ve not done in the first week or so. Mist of my mates are long gone. If it wasn’t for a couple of the new builds I enjoyed I dont think I’d be playing at all but the novelty of them is wearing off and doubtlessly Bungie will nerf them soon. I might actually be done!
-
I'm not going to GRIND the way that I did to 400. Just going to play the game, and enjoy weekday i play rather than play to see number go up. I felt relieved at 400 knowing that the bulk of my grind is over for this season. Now I can start looking for loot, in both weapons and armor, which will gradually increase power level as i play, but I'm not overly concerned with the power level anymore.
-
Nope. I’d like to be at 400 power by Ash and Iron, but I’m taking it slow. I’m playing things I want to play and working my way up by just enjoying the activities. Going above 400 before then is a recipe for frustration and burnout.
-
The game IS fun for me, but no I'm not going past 400 if that.
-
They made that for streamer egos. They were mad that everyone could do grandmasters, master raids.... The one thing the common man can't do is grind 60hrs a week on a game.
-
Tier system is garbage. Grind for a god roll. Hope u get it at ur tier EVERY TIER. Repeat.
-
Slow walking things. I am not enjoying solo replay at higher levels of the DLC to latch 300 and 400. That is unfortunately necessary unless you can find help. Good luck using LFG for that. Portal sucks and actively gets in the way for enjoyable gameplay. You need to use it to complete tasks which latch light levels further. The grind complaints are valid if only because the path to get there is not documented and very rigid.
-
Eh, I'm just gonna play. If I get more power, yay, if I don't, more mats for me so yay.
-
Yes because it enrages casuals because they’re upset that they can’t log in and collect tier 5 gear from the magic fairy vendor in the tower
-
nope, not on purpose, I'll play the game, but can imagine once over 300 and have gained the ability to do a master, yeah that will be good enough for me, currently at 233 drops and simply just playing the game
-
Edited by Northern: 8/3/2025 4:28:51 PMMountain biking > video games so I doubt I'll get anywhere near 450. Not to mention Destiny is now mind numbingly boring.
-
No, I'm just login do this and that for 1-2 hours then logout to play something else, or doing something, this DLC make me lost my motive to play my favorite game
-
I’ll do it once because I don’t see this model as sustainable and I figure something is going to change. Every time Bungie introduces something new, they assess and adjust as needed. Arms weeks is a complete waste of time for people who couldn’t dump 80+ hours into the first 2. Maybe less if you don’t the boring repeat grind. I did a lot of the Keplar stuff (fabled and master missions, etc) and was punished for it because running the new stuff is 0 benefit to your power level. Everything you do in the new content for the first time should boost your power level. People -blam!- to get to 450 will do it just in time to get no loot and have to grind again to 600, just in time to go back to 200. So no real tier 5 options unless you don’t like to do anything else with your free time. People are confusing time commitment with skill. Imo, after reaching the 300 threshold, you should never go below or see a tier 1 or 2 piece of gear ever again.

Well just tried the new loot cave on mythic difficulty and it's legit all armor and weapons drop at tier 4 if anything the only issue is that I hate the set buffs but the increase stats are nice
