Who did the solo ops Saltmine balancing?
Are they on crack or something?
1) you have enemies who constantly run away and hide from you
2) you have to look for the objectives and shoot them
3) you have drills and champions
4) on top you have the most disgusting sponge enemy of all time (tormenter) which took hilarious long to kill and any slow super is useless because he interrups you anyways.
All within this time limit???????
Who the -blam!- did this balancing?

Better to do saltmine when it's the taken daily rotation. If you're after a bonus drop it may give then it's 1 run and done. A few good weapons to deal with the tormentors. The new rocket pulse cleans him up in seconds.
