The game is an empty husk of what it once was. The new grind is so unsatisfying and “new content” is basically just grinding strikes with a mix of old exotic mission, and maybe some bad PvP matches. There are fewer options to get better loot in addition to extra restrictions. EoF in a nutshell is a “numbers go up” grind with extra steps and sunsetting by attrition. The new tier system is fundamentally flawed. The current effort of content vs. quality of rewards is awful. Grinding higher power AND guardian rank numbers just to get better rewards in addition to re-gaining access to end game content feels bad. All while not actually feeling more powerful. I play this game A LOT and wouldn’t consider myself a casual, but this “expansion” feels like it was made for streamers and jobless no-lifers that spend 16+ hours a day grinding because the rewards now feel like they’re primarily based on play time rather than effort. For those who wanna tell me “the season just started”… that’s not the point. I want to play end game content and I want good loot. The low tier rewards aren’t much different than getting trash, insta-delete drops in the previous system. Low tier armor limits build-crafting but also offers fewer benefits in the new system. I can’t use my best stats loadouts in all content because of new gear restrictions, even though my new armor has objectively worse stats than my old armor. Also, what’s the point of even farming for anything in this new system? Everything I’ve farmed so hard for or achieved before the next season won’t really matter when power goes back to 200 and I’m forced to use the new seasonal gear to get the max benefits and access to all content. The so-called Diablo-model is the reason I don’t play Diablo and bringing it to Destiny won’t keep me playing Destiny😭
