So why do you PVP?
Is it the gunplay?
The loot?
A competitive arena to flex in?
What would make it better?
And if you don't like PvP...why?

Hoo! Where to begin? I play mainly for fun, but also to be competitive. Crucible is both, if you take it for what it is. In D2, it’s been such a low priority for Bungie for years and they’ve flip-flopped multiple times on what they want to do with it. Expectations have to be pretty low. I went back to D1 and much prefer it. It’s not perfect, but it’s a better PvP experience for me.

Don't do pvp unless it's for armour I like the look of and I don't like the look of the trials armour so won't be bothering.

I don’t like it at all… The guns have far too much aim assist It’s laggy The space magic gets nerfed so quickly we need more guns like graviton lance not less, this is casual PvP in a pve game. The bitter addicts are very toxic again no need for this as it’s a pve game…

Edited by FENIX: 8/1/2025 7:27:28 AMI've been playing it relatively often. Yeah, yeah, I might be not good at it, but it's fun to me 🤷♂️ Only 6v6 though, don't really play comp or trials.

Is the 3 match Comp roll not a thing anymore? I got like 4 Solemn Remembrance last week and nothing this week so far.

Only pvp to get the new stuff for collections and this new event forces us to play hardware to rank it up which imo is way to slow. Got error code mongoose 4 times today queuing it for about 20m between each mongoose error. At this point Bungie seriously needs to increase xp gains for match completions and daily challenge completion otherwise it's almost impossible to get the seal.

On a separate note iron banner was my biggest PVP draw got stuff from Saladin and shacks it was always double rep it felt worth it.... when I ranked up shacks I could get multi perk guns it was just a shame that Saladin never got the same treatment... But now with the reputation tracks gone I have next to zero reason to play crucible as I can't get the guns I want anymore.... otherwise outside of the bare minimum trials matches for the seasonal I very rarely PvP

I personally have never been a fan of PVP but I do play it on occasion when the mood suits me and when the loots are good enough but here lately there's little to no reason for me to PVP the events forcing people into PVP is not cool as far as I'm concerned especially when it essentially locks you out of some events... Now I know there's PVP specific events and that's fine but when none PVP specific events only have PVP as an option to progress there's a problem there should be an even 50/50 split for progress on non-PvP specific events so I'm curious how's everyone else feel about this?
