Featured Gear is Bad
I am still playing for this season as the effect from the decision has not happened yet.
But if I build up T5 gear and then it is useless in the next end game content in comparison to the new featured gear, that will be the end for me. Not just me. You will lose people drastically fast. This system as described has zero respect for our time and effort. Noone mentally healthy will stick around long term for something like that.

The way everything is designed is exactly how I knew it was going to be when I heard it was similar to the Diablo 4 formula of seasonal grinds. I've already said my peace about why D4 was dying and how blizzard poorly handled their seasonal model and forced meta, taking the freedom of player build crafting away by utilizing meta Ubers for the specific season. It is what it is at this point but will say I called it, but hey wtf do I know I'm just a guy playing a video game 🫡🤜🤛🍻

A healthy player base would have stopped them in their tracks the minute they mentioned deleting paid content from customers without compensation - because "file size too big" and "making games hard". Instead the bulk of their players made excuses for the outright theft and lies.

when it was just champions being a problem there were some who made a big deal out of having what champion mods to run but this is entirely a new enforcement that isn’t even small it ruins build crafting if they had more weapons in the launch of EoF then it would maybe be alright but i feel like that didn’t give us jack pinnacle weapons infusement weapons kepler weapons new raid weapons i would rather have bungie over deliver weapons but not on content sure content would maybe be over delivered probably but i dont see the point of being forced to use featured exotics and gear god forbid a player can use a build with preferences that feel mandatory to them

Id recommend just doing 1 character or you'll never see tier 5 gear. You need to get to 450 & 200-400 is extremely long, & 400-450 is like 5 times longer than 200-400

Also forcing people to use new gear only works in MMOs like world of Warcraft, where items are almost entirely vertical progression In a game where weapon rolls, and now armor set bonuses, matter a lot, forcing us to use features gear just simply doesn’t work for this game

Just grind out your battle pass and put down the game. There is no incentive to run any high profile content on this game anymore. I still love the play loop but I can't justify grinding or time in this game anymore.

1 ReplyGo for the stats and rolls you want. You’ll lose out on the 15% damage resistance but at least you’ll have high stat gear to keep your builds viable. I intend to do the tier 5 grinds one time, after that, I don’t care. I’m not doing this again in 6 months.

9 RepliesI hate how rewards are tied to equipping new/featured gear as well. Its especially frustrating knowing I have to give up my good gear that would be equal to T4, just to be forced to run T2 or 3 gear.

So what's the point of grinding for it? Especially knowing it's going away in 5 months. People need to wake up. It's not the flex y'all think it is.
