Gear Tiers tied to guardian ranks is garbage
Remember when guardian ranks were supposed to not have any game impact other than getting an extra couple load out slots? Now gear tiers are tied to them!?
I honestly had/have zero intention of specifically working on guardian ranks this go around. I usually chill at rank 10 every season. I've barely touched ranks this season and some of the requirements for some of the ranks are kind of stingy. Somewhere in rank 4 or 5 you need a prime engram for one of the objectives. I sitll have no clue how to get a prime engram other than I saw some people say play comp, and sure enough around my 6th game I apparently got one playing comp although I never actually saw it. One of the ranks has complete 3 master ops, but you know the whole 300 gear score thing and the power grind is just miserable (I mean at least they made master ops accessible to people with access to expert), but man.
This is kind of a trashy thing to tie gear tiers behind guardian ranks imo.

2 RepliesI like that GR actually has a benefit in game, and as long as there isn’t a solo flawless dungeon in the lower ranks, I’m cool with it. However, I haven’t had much time to play, and am rank 3 (I think). Haven’t finished legendary campaign yet, so can’t progress until I’ve finished that to catch up to light level 200. Any chance you’ve got a link to all the rank requirements?
