What I think is funny is, they keep saying power level doesn't really mean anything, you don't [i]need[/i] to grind it, then they lock event rewards behind it. I'm rank 6 and who knows if I'll get to 7 before the end of the event because of the 300 power requirement,. I don't even know if it would make any difference getting to 7 for my rewards. Hiding the level they're locked behind is messed up.

The system isn’t terrible. The rank climb isn’t too bad, but releasing things like arms week that requires higher ranks to get better gear is really really dumb this early in the season. If you did anything else in the first two weeks of the season than play Destiny and grind, then you get trash you likely won’t use or want to keep.
