Trying to find people to play with

Also looking to connect with others on XBox platform especially for mission steps that require 5-6 players and/or crucible. Just started D1 back around 10 months ago and have an old HS friend and his daughter occasionally that have been playing since early days of D1. If party chat involved through D1 only looking for PG family friendly etc dialogue Initially started with D2 on Steam but for some reasons my one Destiny friend and I like D1 much better. (Live in USA CST time zone)

Could you provide a platform for reference? Crossplay isn't supported on the original Destiny. That'll help a lot.
